Arguably the best planet in the whole game, yet a planet like Mercury has one...

1 ReplyBecause it’s a Flashpoint EVERY week.
-
Because it would make it so flashpoints weren't a -blam!-ing chore. Imagine being able to do a flashpoint on a fun planet. Nope. You get Mercury again.
-
It’s has a weekly flashpoint! You can get multiple powerful engrams drops as is. There’s the blind well. Completing the heroic one gives a Powerful drop. There’s the ascendant challenge. There’s the weekly mission that gives a drop. There’s the oracle engine bounty that rewards a powerful drop, sometimes multiple ones. There’s the weekly bounty that gives you a powerful drop after completing 8 daily bounties. This is all reset every week. Making the dreaming city it’s own flashpoint every week and actually it’s two or three times as rewarding than a typical flashpoint. So....

Edited by extremevirtigo: 12/25/2018 6:09:50 AMSo you can struggle through the terrain to the next public event to have the only person there sabotage your heroic?

4 RepliesEdited by loudenkl: 12/24/2018 3:30:40 PMThe Dreaming City is basically its own Flashpoint every week. Curious as to what you would want in addition to having the weekly milestone in order to make the DC a Flashpoint. The only other thing that a Flashpoint offers is the daily heroic adventures, but outside of the 3 quests missions (Broken Courier, The Oracle Engine, and the Dark Monastery), DC has no adventures.
-
1 ReplyDreaming city has POWERFUL ENGRAMS... What you want?😲
-
3 RepliesI just want tangled shore to be the flashpoint again. I didn't get a single piece of baron gear on either my titan or my warlock but every single baron dropped a piece on my hunter playthrough. Every time i try to do the machinist heroic story mission she just drops a no turning back.
-
Partly the repeating curse, and partly because the awoken dont want the vanguard there. Its bad enough guardians are now running around the awoken lands.
-
Because of the Curse which prevents the continuous tactical adjustment to our defensive line, since everything pretty much stays the same within the 3 week cycle. C-T-A-T-O-D-L is an acronym for "continuous tactical adjustment to our defensive line". Commander Zavala calls them that, but Cayde-6 prefers to call them Flashpoints.
-
1 ReplyPeople without the DLC will always complain about the flashpoint planet. Countless times Mars and Mercury were flashpoints in the past, the community wouldnt stop complaining.
-
3 RepliesBetter question would be why there is only one way point. Heck the tower now has 2 landing way points. Why can't the Dreaming City have at least 2?
-
It would screw up the lore (with the three week time loop) and the dreaming city offers up so much powerful gear anyway. it makes more sense from a gameplay point of view to get powerful gear from a location you wouldn’t normally get powerful gear from (like Nessus or Earth for example).
-
12 RepliesBecause i dont want a 50/50 chance of actually getting a flashpoint that i cant do because i dont got dlc's
-
Technically the Dreaming City is the flashpoint every week. We get quite a lot of powerful gear opportunities in the Dreaming City every week so it feels like a second flashpoint in addition to the random one to me
-
2 RepliesNot everybody has access to the dreaming city.
-
3 RepliesSurprised your post got noticed, unlike mine a month or 2 ago. It would make the most sense and help for those elusive cosmetics, and the lore books (especially on full curse week). But what do I know? I don’t know game design and “want everything handed to me”, right? Right
-
I would guess it’s because the dreaming city already has multiple options for achieving powerful gear. Bungie seems to want us to do everything in the game to level up fully, such as having us go to a variety of locations. Just my guess though, could be wrong.
-
Probably because the dreaming city has a high light level requirement.
-
2 RepliesBecause the Flashpoints are made available to players that don’t own Forsaken.
-
8 RepliesYou get powerful gear from petra, do you even play this game kid?
-
6 RepliesBecause people without the dlc wouldn’t have a flashpoint. They did that before and people went ape shit.
-
8 RepliesWould be nice to encourage people to actually DO the public events in the DC.
-
Bungie hardly makes sense anymore with their decisions
-
Totally should. Even though it has all of those bounties, a flashpoint would make people actually do the public events. There’s so much to do that those aren’t done very often.
