Before you read, I want to explain some things:
These are only ideas-- Whether or not Bungie decides to implement them is a mystery to me. The reason why I am making these ideas is partly because of the state of PvP and Gambit matchmaking right now; mostly because giving players more freedom of choice when it comes to matchmaking can make it less annoying and more comfortable. I am aware that some of these ideas I make will be agreed upon, or disagreed upon, by everyone reading this post right now. As a result, I am willing to take any non-salty feedback, or suggestions to how these ideas can be changed.
Enough talk. This is where the fun begins:
-When a room is ready to start, players get to vote on the map they want to play on, and a random player's choice will be selected
-Players can toggle Rank-based Matchmaking on or off
-Ranking will be leaderboard-like, allowing players to try to climb all the way up, and fight for the very top
-(Updated) When you're in the Top 8% of ranking, matchmaking will only match you against the Top 8% players, separating you from everyone below
-Players can now select their ideal gamemode, and the game will randomly pick one player's choice to determine which gamemode will be played. As more players pick one particular gamemode, the chance of it being played increases by a good amount. Ideal gamemode can also be set to Random, in case if you have trouble picking one
-Players can also adjust matchmaking settings: Solo, or Any. Matchmaking settings will prioritize matching up with players who picked the same setting. Being in a Fireteam will lock your settings to "Any"
-"Breaking up teams to find a better match" now only happens if a team loses to a Mercy Rule twice in a row, or loses in general three times in a row
-Players with fewer members on their team than the enemy team get a slight increase to in-air accuracy and strafe speed
-Players who don't attack enemies for 1 minute will be kicked from the match, and teammates will lose less ranking upon loss
-(Credit to Zilong) mixtape-like matchmaking in which you can set the gamemodes you want to play (can pick more than one)

Personally, I think they should make all one hit kill guns take primary ammo. Then, just make all the other guns edge transit. Crucible fixed.
-
I've been saying that sort of stuff for a long time I cannot agree more.

2 RepliesIt should be removed from destiny entirely. Problem solved.

No dedicated servers : no sbmm
-
Open world or nothing imo. Let them focus PVE
-
1 ReplyThis is how it should work. Make D3 PvE only. Bungie obviously can't balance PvP or get matchmaking correct. It just too hard!
-
2 RepliesNo. Just no.
-
3 RepliesI would like a mixtape for choosing game modes similar to Titanfall 2.
-
3 RepliesWhy can't it be a popular vote?

4 RepliesThis would cause 50k people to ever play pvp so...

This would cause 50k people to ever play pvp so...

They need a proper server so there’s no lag etc!

3 RepliesEdited by GrifterDeMier01: 12/25/2018 1:22:37 AMDude this is waaaaay to involved and complicated for them. It takes them months just to adjust little things like rate of fire or dmg on a single gun. This set up would be ideal but Bungie could never pull it off. They would need to hire dozens of experienced veteran programmers instead of getting kids strait out of college to do all the work for cheap and forcing them to work hundreds of overtime hours.

1 ReplyI disagree with the new 2, but the other stuff looks good.

Dude way things are going there won’t be a D3 until bungie sort out this mess in this one and with all the problems that pvp causes I don’t think that bungie or even activison would want to continue with this feature for this franchise as it has negatively impacted upon players on every level
-
5 RepliesLmao! Destiny 3! Stop it, you're killing me. Even if a destiny 3 gets made, I doubt bungie will be involved.

9 RepliesEdited by RevFunk28: 12/24/2018 9:16:29 PMOne word: delete Bungie is CLEARKY inept to implement pvp correctly, so just stop already

6 RepliesEdited by puppyk1sses: 12/24/2018 5:16:02 PMIt should work like this: You get 1 class of every weapon that doesn’t have perks on it. They’re all the same. A scout is a scout, a shotty is a shotty, etc... exotics disabled, armor/weapon perks disabled. A Hunter is a Hunter, a Titan is a Titan, a Warlock is a Warlock, they’re all the same. This does 2 things: levels the playing field so it’s actually based on skill and not the fact that you paid someone $100 for your Luna’s Howl or you got lucky with RNG and got Gwisin Vest / One Eyed Mask. 2nd thing is we can actually focus on making pve fun and stop holding it back in the name of crucible balance. This idea won’t ever be accepted because it’s too radical, but if you look at almost any other FPS, that’s how it works. X class is X class, X weapon is X weapon. There’s too many variables for Bungie to juggle and it’s clearly not working here.

18 RepliesBy being a standalone (separate ££/$$)DLC & with its own dedicated Bungie team, separated & balanced loot table/stats - all compatible with all PvE Gear from D3 (PvP Gear switches to PvE stats, and vice versa) Dedicated servers No p2p And solo Rumble comp mode (7players - proper algorithms for ranking systems, top 3 gain points/no loss of points - lesser players only have to try finish 3rd best) to help quash the paid carry/recovery PvP is balanced separate & will NEVER affect PvE PvP gear will suit Crucible/IB/Trials PvE gear will suit everywhere else

1 ReplyPerfect idea, but... it's Bungie, so unfortunately it won't happen in this desirable way
