How about making it so heavy ammo finder...hear me out...helps you actually find heavy ammo.
Have it enabled on 2 gear pieces and have gone awhile without finding any while in numerous activities.

There’s no consistency, sometimes I am swimming in heavy, and other times not a single drop. When Bungie took away ammo synths they promised that ammo would not be a problem. I’m still waiting for it not to be a problem.
-
Leave it to bungie to fill a game with weapons that require ammo, put in perks that help find it.........but then we never have ammo when we need it!!! See a problem here bungie?!?! If I give up other perks and spec for ammo give me the F-IN stuff I need! Currently this is my biggest gripe with the game

3 RepliesI only seem to get heavy drops when i have full heavy.

Edited by ShadowWing48: 12/19/2018 10:43:30 PMMy ammo finders work fine. Im constantly having enemies drop multiple of the same ammo type at once. Im getting full reserves back 50% of the time.

1 ReplyI don't think any of those modifiers work, other than "Backup Mag" because it adds three shots and Bungie employees can at least add three. Now I've done it I'm back on the radar. No more exotics for ol' Cannon as punishment. Oh wait, I haven't had any drop FOR A FRICKEN MONTH so how bad can you make it for me??? Smithers: "Homer Simpson please report for 'Couldn't possibly get any worse' duty."

1 ReplyHeavy ammo finder worked for me until Black Armory dropped, but now I see more exotic engram drops than I do purple ammo bricks.
-
I wish I had the link offhand, but somebody on Reddit did the math and found out that Heavy Ammo Finder in fact did not work. Not sure about it post Black Armory drop, but it definitely doesn't feel like it does even now.
-
1 ReplyNow we have to rally a public event flag for ammo.
-
2 RepliesI run 2 heavy finder, 2 special finder, and 1 reserved or scavenger and it does not cancel brick drops. I always have ammo in the Forge, and Gambit. Certain weapons are effected more though. I don’t think it’s a flat percentage. I get way more ammo for Thunderlord than Whisper or Sleeper. And I get WAY more ammo for Tractor Cannon than anything else. Two Tailed Fox, is sort of in the middle. I also notice that grenade and melee ability kills, or anything that causes an explosion like Dragonfly spawns heavy ammo much more often than regular kills.

2 RepliesI have two on my gear and have no issues getting ammo drops. Where are people getting this "it cancels it out" idea from exactly...
-
2 RepliesWow seriously? Having 2 equipped stops it from working? Who the hell in their right minds thought this even needed to be a thing, so stupid.
-
2 RepliesIf you have two equipped, it stops heavy ammo from spawning at all. So it's obviously not good to have both equipped. Hope this helps
-
Typical of Bungle. Used to three stack mods so it seemed common sense to stack perks.
-
using two pieces with the perk cancels the effect. Only run one piece at a time with this perk
-
I was told that if you stack any ammo finder it cancels it out
-
Heavy amp or special they are both broke.
-
Pretty sure multiple heavy ammo finders equipped at once causes this. It was a bug more noticable when we had masks with heavy ammo finder. I can 100% say that having only 1 HAF works as intended though.
-
Damn my 2/3 heavy ammo finder and 2 special ammo finder build is bad now. Wish i had known earlier.
-
Working as intended...thank you Crucibabies!
-
It depends. I usually have two Heavy Ammo Finder perks active and I see heavy ammo bricks all over, including Gambit. They litter the ground. But if I put on an Exotic that adds a Primary Ammo Finder, I rarely see any Heavy bricks, despite still having two Heavy Ammo Finders up. Strange but true. Might just be RNG.
-
I think that intrinsic juggler is still a thing in the game. It's unrelated to the heavy ammo finder perk, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was actively screwing you over on heavy ammo.
-
I run one of each (heavy, special, primary) and a scavenger and reserves on my other armor for whatever heavy I’m carrying. I occasionally find myself in a heavy drought (I don’t think it actually works likes it’s supposed to). But usually I’m in good shape with heavy ammo. Maybe try just running one heavy ammo finder. I also find that when I notice a drought beginning if I cycle through my weapons and get a kill with each a variety of ammo starts to drop again. But this is untested. I just have the feeling that it works.
-
1 ReplyI read somewhere that if you stack your heavy finder perks, it actually decreases the amount of heavy you find. After finding this out, I took off my second one and haven't had a problem since. Dunno if it's one of those odd bugs that's hard to chase down.. Or maybe superstition.
-
Wearing 2 supposedly breaks it...you only want one but even then it seems inconsistent to me...sometimes it showers me in heavy boxes and sometimes I get nothing...could depend on the activity or something i guess

Edited by meatballsublime: 12/17/2018 8:47:14 PM
Have it enabled on 2 gear pieces and have gone awhile without finding any while in numerous activities.
As others have said, it is a known bug that if you use two pieces of gear with heavy ammo finder, it prevents heavy spawning instead of increasing it. Hope that helps. Bungie hasn't indicated anything about a fix, as far as I know. The only thing you can do is limit it to 1 piece of armor.
-
Its only work at Patrol. Gambit will not work because Bungie rigged the game. If you win the first round, You will not get any Heavy and Special ammo drop. The third round..It depend your progress.
