I don’t mind them either but no real innovation for such an old event . How bout a crazy strike or two with a Xmas theme ( like the Halloween one ) Random present engrams pop from mobs like exotics with dawning original guns ( make them look icy or something and make them so you can give them to other players if you want ( the engram before you open it ) , candy cane shaders , reskin the EDZ to look like winter for a couple weeks add dawning themed pub events ....it’s just boring and under whelming . They have a year to add new things but they don’t .

Lol you'd complain the dawning was too much like festival. if the main event was a strike. They'd even call it the snowy forest or some shit. candy cane shaders?? waste of manpower. reskin the whole EDZ? talk about a REAL waste of manpower. It's a free seasonal event. I wasn't expecting much and you've been here long enough to know you shouldn't expect too much.

I can agree with that. They could have done more or at the very least bring the snowballs in open world back. That was a huge disappointment for a lot of people. Not only that, but they made it sound like the sparrow was going to rain glimmer, meanwhile it only spits out one piece at a time. That was also a disappointment. Also as far as new content goes, I'm saddened by the fact that there is no real campaign for Black Armory nor will there be any campaigns for the following seasons. (So I hear). Not to mention that each season Crucible and Vanguard armor had new ornaments and such and this time nothing changed. Pretty lazy if you ask me. My main gripe about the complaints was that people were calling it too feminine and people were calling it a grind, when all the materials were earned from all your normal activities. Saying that the event is lack luster and could have had more I agree with. Haunted Forest was fun and The Dawning could have had a separate event for it as well. Or at the very least, give us our snowballs back lol
