I can only play Destiny 2 with my HDR turned off on my xb1 . I have tried all the work arounds and nothing works except for turning the hdr off.
The screen is really dark with the hdr on since the hdr update . It was perfect before the last update.
All my other games work perfectly with hdr on.
Come on Bungie sort this out.
I purchased a 4K hdr tv specifically to play D2 on so I am seriously disappointed with having to play it in 4K only.

1 ReplyYup still too dark on Xbox one x too. Have to turn HDR off within the Xbox setting when I want to play D2 or I can’t see anything in dark areas. I literally came on the forum to see if there was any news of when this will be fixed. RDR2 looks amazing though 😂😂

Me and my friends are having this same problem. It's so annoying that I have not been playing at all. With the dawning going too. I just bought this Samsung QLED every game looks incredible on my XB1X. On D2 I can't see anything on the tower hardly. I tried to help a buddy thru whisper quest. It was a nightmare with it so dark. Why haven't they fixed this? I've been checking everyday on here. The issue seems to be getting ignored? It's a huge problem.

1 ReplyI thought I found a solution to make it work, but turned out I was wrong. HDR is still a problem, and I’m on PS4. In any scene, dark areas are crushed to below black. I believe this is a problem in the games dynamic lighting, as based on your perspective, the lighting of the scene changes. In areas of darkness, all detail is lost. I wish Bungie would get an oled in their studio to see how bad heir HDR implementation is. I’m sure they should be able to afford one.
