I don't think I'm ever gonna get out of brave
Edit; We've gotten more traction on this post than intended so i'm gonna share some of your ideas before bungie reads it.
A few of you have suggested this but i think WiggletonBandit says it best.
"At the end of every match you should receive the appropriate amount of points +/- based on win or loss, then awarded some amount of points based on kills, assists, and objectives completed."
"Keeping the players who got to fabled and beyond last season would start this season either in that rank, or one lower." this would make the first few weeks a tad more bearable.

Yeah I would agree that some rank point changes need to be made. Especially when you end up on a team of 2 people and there’s a 4 stack of not forgottens. Should I really lose points for that match, like it seems a little unfair. Just a tad bit
-
Should be individually based, if you lose but are at the top of your team with 20 kills and 3 deaths you shouldn't be punished for your terrible teammates, maybe link it to your effiency score anything positive points rewarded anything negative points taken off.
-
The the SBMM was better and there was a either a minimum light level requirement, or having light levels matter would make it better.

1 ReplyLol just don’t lose
-
I am avoid glory rank no bothered to get hand cannon
-
2 RepliesUnfortunately this game was designed for sweaty try hards who can play 5 to 6 hours everyday. So don't expect much.
-
I wish it just locked your rank once you get it don't mind losing point until it drops my rank.
-
Or match people correctly. Match against a four stack of NF users recently on countdown. Highest glory player this season was 5500, next highest was 2800 and 2500, one player at 600. My group’s highest glory was in the 500s or lower. ( I had the highest season 4 glory with around 1500 at highest last season) Then we got Countdown ( worst match type in the game) and got crushed easily. I thought Glory was suppose to match similar glory but this was not the case. If we were past 2100 I could see matching with this group but it makes no sense that we matched with them when our highest person just reached Brave III.
-
I can't get out of brave. Must have played 20 games today's and have less glory than when I started.
-
2 RepliesI just wish that your own personal performance would count for something. As a solo queue player I get so frustated at losing games and ranks even when I have done really well but the cabbages for team mates lost us the match. Admittedly I am also sometimes the cabbage

23 RepliesEdited by CatMan: 12/17/2018 7:37:23 PMHow bout none lost, lose you get no points, win you get points. I can't see why anyone would be against this. Edit: I absolutely love how people can spam me with the quick play playlist comments, but can't see how comp is different from QP in every -blam!-ing way that counts. QP has clash, control, and...wow that's it? Comp has countdown, survival, and I think breakthrough (idfk I quit as soon as I got LH). That is what makes the playlist competitive, unique, and cool at times Those key game modes, not -blam!-ing scores going up and down. Don't give two xur shit what y'all think, the scoring is ass. On top of that matchmaking, losing connection, players quitting basically guaranteeing you a loss, stacked teams, going against someone on legend rank while you're on the brave, and losing points throughout all of it. ....don't sit here and -blam!-ing tell me comp works you clowns shits. Edit: only time you should lose points is if you intentionally quit (hold that Y or triangle button) and you should get slapped with a 45min time out. There should also be a white flag for surrender, and teams vs teams, but who am I kidding, bungie won't go.

There needs to be a qualifier every season. I literally can't believe they didn't do this.
-
1 ReplyMan how the whiners come together fast. It you are not good enough you won’t simply have the gun. The quest is made so you learn how to shoot a hand canon in PvP and how you land precision shots. You can train, find a good team and earn it. Everything else is sad.
-
I wouldn't mind losing as much if we didn't lose points....And stacked teams mean you lose a lot....like a lot in comp. Lfg is completely out for me, for hopefully obvious reasons.

1 ReplyEdited by Silent Syzygy: 12/17/2018 4:46:51 PMYeah is there something wrong with the comp playlist right now? I went in with a rank of 0 and was met with stacked teams in the 1,500’s all using Not Forgotten. I haven’t checked the current numbers for how many people are playing comp right now but seems like all u run into is the most skilled players at the lowest rank. What’s happening?

2 Repliesi won today and got + 34 then lost and -30 so at a 50-50 win rate (average) it would take 525 games to reach luna and to me thats a no+no/no sq =
not today not tommorow not ever, never ever no sir not me
Bump for @cozmo23 @A_dmg04 reply. Also, please consider this recommendation as a solution: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/250188037/0/0/1

Nope just get good
-
30 points a loss is extreme
-
1 ReplyGood idea but it'd piss off a lot of peeps who busted their ass to get luna's, think of when they changed the ace of spades quest from 5 invader HC kills to any HC kills and multiply it by 100.
-
I actually wonder how many of the devs would realistically be able to gain Luna's howl if it wasn't just handed to them, lets be honest we all saw the forsaken stream and it was painful to watch
-
I can't swim , I know I can't So you know what I do,I stay my guardian ass out of the pool!!!!
-
Considering how only something like 3% of the playerbase plays Comp, then I'd expect changes to be made in the future. People would pitch a fit, but removing the rank requirements for Luna's Howl, Not Forgotten, and The Mountaintop, making them more grindy, and making it so progress is only made in the Comp playlist would likely get a lot more people in there. People would complain about losing their trophies, but I think the health of the playlist is more important.
-
1 ReplyIt's also why some people gave up on trying to grind for Luna's Howl/Not Forgotten. The competitive rank was the biggest challenge for most people trying to get these hand cannons. I mean as pinnacle weapons these hand cannons are fantastic no doubt. However, the problem comes to competitive being bad in general for matchmaking and the penalties. I gave up on the hand cannons cause of the matchmaking screwing me over. The competitive playlist really does need to be reworked. And to those who managed to get these weapons you deserve respect for all the grinding you had to go through just to get them. I hope the result was worth it and you do well with them in comp.
-
1 ReplyFirst year of having a season reward tied to comp people moaned and groaned that it was too hard to get. So Bungie made the last one easier to get. Now they complain its too easy. So Bungie made it harder to get in Season 5. Now they complain its too hard AGAIN. There's zero way to win with you losers.
-
24 RepliesEach pinnacle weapon should have 2 paths to choose from, a pvp quest “or” a pve, the way bungie does it now is not very Democratic
