I’ve had this idea for a while now and I don’t know why bungie hasn’t done this, let us have an armor set ( for example I had a full last Wish raid set I can’t even use anymore due to the shitty infusion system ) that we can put over the armor we have on. So this way we won’t have to wear mishmatched awful armor when we could be wearing the armor we want too.

I agree. I think there should be armor slots that various pieces go into that only contribute to stats, like mobility, resilience, light level, perks, mods, etc. But those pieces should have nothing to do with cosmetic appearance. They could be called something like "armor cores". These would be what determine your power, stat build, and eligibility for various activities. The "armor cores" could be random drops, bought at vendors, or crafted by grinding for mats. The armor cores would have generic looking icons, and would have common, rare, legendary, and exotic tiers. THEN, there could be separate appearance slots associated with each armor slot, skins as you call them. But skin slots would be independent of armor slots. Skins could be random drops, bought, or crafted. Any chest skin could be applied to any chest armor core, and changed at will. That way you would still need to grind for power and light level to achieve the stat build you want and your character could still be customized to LOOK however you want. And on top of that, keep shaders to customize skins. Skins would just add another layer of items to motivate players to grind for. Seems like that would be good for bungie. And I think it's a shame how many awesome looking armor pieces there are that a developer had to painstakingly design, and I only wear them for 10 minutes because I had to switch to a different ugly armor piece that dropped that had a slightly higher light level. And I'm stuck wearing that ugly garbage for a week. I don't mind if weapons stay the way they are.

6 RepliesI don't run high mobility on my warlock, and shouldn't be forced to. They need to bring back where we can change it, Riven armor on the Warlock has zero or low resilience, so I'll never wear it, thanks bungo. My setup now is Mobility 2 Resilience 7/8 varies Regen 7
