What? Then what is point 3 all about? This person is complaining that the event is too feminine and one of the reasons is because, you have to bake cookies. Oh nooooo, not cookies! Not pretty things during the holidays! Guess Festival of The Lost wasn't intense enough? Am I missing something? 😑

My discussion is about the over feminization of the game. There is too much cutesy stuff and enough grit. Like trying to eat a cake thats actually pudding.

They made one event pretty and suddenly the whole game is too feminine. I say that 90% of the game is gritty and dark, with Dreaming City being the only place you'd consider "pretty." And even that turns ugly and dark as the curse progresses. If you read the lore, there is an important reason as to why the whole city is shiny and reflective. Most of the other areas and missions in this game are gritty, which is cool. Not saying it isn't. Most of the places that were once beautiful have been overrun by Vex or whatnot. Not to mention, um, girls play this game too? Ever think of that? Maybe Bungie is trying to please both? I'm all for dark and gritty and beautiful and breathtaking at the same time. Calling something too masculine or feminine is just a byproduct of the primitive ways we were raised. I'm sure the societies of the future aren't concerned with what's "masculine or feminine." Those are ancient primitive stereotypes in their eyes. Its probably a nice breath of fresh air to see a beautiful landscape after all the years of destruction, death, and darkness. They don't go, "Ew this beautiful landscape is TOO FEMININE." They probably think, "Ah, finally a place not full of death and despair." Also, there is lots of gritty armor sets and lots of regal ones alike. They're not considered masculine or feminine, they all appeal to different kinds of ascetic. Its nice for the whole fan base to have options. You have your gritty Tangled Shores sets and Gambit wear and then you have your regal fancy raid sets. Nothing "masculine or feminine", just different kinds of ascetic. Lots of men wear the regal sets and lots of women wear the gritty sets alike. Sorry you're stuck living in an outdated mindset, but I'm pretty sure that the society's of the future have evolved past all that nonsense. If the beautiful parts of the game hurt your masculinity that much, go play Doom or something. Lots of gore and darkness there. You'll never hear me complain because, I enjoy both.

I must say I enjoyed reading your response. I agree with some of it and disagree with other pieces. Its understandable for many people to enjoy the soft music and cutesy crap, they live different real lives and arent immersed in this junk all day. People say "christmas cheer, yay!" then fight over gifts, parking spots, and money. Its all just a facade. What amused me the most was when ypu decry me for "outdated" sentiments and simultaneously say chicks play this game. Cant have it both ways bud. Feel free to join me in reality and leave the insincere progressives to their lies and blindness.

The whole point of a video game is to step away from the bs of reality and actually enjoy something for a change. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I can go on and on about all the horrors I've faced in my life (but that would take forever and I'd end up writing a novel), so when I hop on to continue my adventure I like to forget about how much life sucks for a little while. The point of a game is to get away from reality for a while and have fun. You are absolutely right that Christmas is full of superficial BS, but The Dawning is nowhere related to Christmas. The Dawning is related to Yuletide and the Winter Solstice. They made it more of an Earth holiday so to speak, celebrating the return of the Sun after the longest night of the year. Bungie went back to the origins of human celebration, back to the Pagan farmers that celebrated the Sun coming back. (Another topic I could write a book about, but you can research it if you're interested). Christmas is just a bastardization of an original celestial Earth holiday. Not only that, but whos to say that chicks don't dig gory, gritty, and dark stuff? I know I do. I'm almost through with reading the Grimnoir Vol.1 book Destiny just released and there is NOTHING I'd consider pretty in that book. I'm a huge Resident Evil, Diablo, Silent Hill (and etc etc) fan and other games alike. And who's to say that men don't enjoy beautiful things? I know plenty of men that do. My husdand has been a horror/gore movie buff his whole life and can also appreciate the beauty of a sunset or landscape or crystals and etc. The point is to appeal to all crowds and all tastes. I dont consider them masculine or feminine tastes, I consider them "horror tastes" or "beautiful tastes" and etc. Bungie can't please everybody and there will always be complaints no matter what, but for a sci-fi fantasy I think Bungie has done a good job appealing to both tastes. I saw in your original post that you'd love to have gory emotes and things like that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the rating on Destiny's franchise is suitable for that. Thats why even cursing is sensored in clever ways. I don't think that Destiny has an M for mature rating like Doom and other games like that. Doom Eternal is on its way to being released, maybe you'd enjoy something like that better. Or games like Quake or Unreal Tornament or Diablo. (I know, some of those are throwbacks lol).

We could even censor the name of the spine rip emote to "plays with daisy". I mean, you've got to stop the snowflake routine. It's feedback, and it's feedback shared by others.
-
If you so choose to make your feedback public on a forum read by everybody, expect a response. Isn't that one of the golden rules of the internet? If you don't want anyone commenting on your feedback, send the feedback privately to Bungie. I'm sure there are ways to do that. And here I thought I was actually having an intelligent debate with somebody. I was mistaken. If you're referring to myself and me having a snowflake routine, all I have to say is that I'm not the one complaining that I have to bake cookies in a game. Plus, nobody is saying you have to even participate. Nobody is saying you have to play a certain game if it has become too "feminine" for you. I'm tired of people complaining about the most ridiculous things when they can simply play something else. The forums (and the world) would be a much better place if people complained less and simply didn't participate if they didn't have to. If I'm mistaken and you're referring to Bungie having a snowflake routine, then that just sucks for you. Either deal with it and stop complaining or play something else. I'm not responding anymore. Go ahead and get the last word in if it makes you feel better. Have a nice day and Blessed Solstice.

I believe you have fallen victim to the instant rage induced by thinking your opinion is actually important. If you read the op you notice a) I specifically addressed my participation and 2) you will notice it was chill and constructive. Now, I dont know how you even make comments like "you should expect responses" in seriousness. Maybe you're joking. Probably not. Snowflakes rarely joke. Why would I debate you on something when neither of us can take direct action? Now, go bake cookies you cute femimasculine thing, you.

You seen the show Happy? I have this feeling you'd love it. Being absolutely 100% serious. It's fckn awesome. Check it out.

So why not make emotes gory for those of age? I mean its a golden age helmet that has a hud. You telling me some child guardian wont have his hud censored like some parents do today?
