Please do something about unfair gambit matchups.

Just spent a couple of matches with some other pubs being absolutely destroyed by the same 4-man clan premade over and over again. Can you please do something about this? Especially because gambit penalises for leaving, this essentially kills all enjoyment I could have for the like 15 minutes we get farmed by the enemy team. And that's just for one match, but it happens multiple times in a row frequently. I have even come up with some ideas to fix this: 1. Add a concede options. I have no interest in being held hostage in the game for the whole duration if there is basically no chance of victory. And no, you cannot carry against 4 coordinated hardcore players. 2. Make 4-man fireteams unable to play agains 1-2 player fireteams. A bit harsh. 3. If a 4-man fireteam wins overwhelmingly, they get a stacking (if they just win and win and win the rank of enemies goes up faster and faster) infamy up to the people they play with the same fireteam. Of course this would come with 4-mans being weighted heavily against playing against 1-2 man fireteams, so they wouldn't just get matched against top infamy rank players after a few easy stomps. This post was written basically in the spur of the moment, but the last hour or so was the worst time I think I've had in D1 or D2, and it honestly made me want to just not play gambit at all. I would have stopped after the first stomping if I didn't desperately want the couple of invasion kills for my malfeasance.

  • Nope, it's perfectly fine. I play gambit mostly solo cause my clan doesn't really play it that much. When I do see that it's a 4 man team, I don't sigh in defeat or get mad. I become excited to see their teamwork. If you're already thinking you're going to lose, then that's not helping the team at all. You honestly don't need communication to win a gambit match. The enemy team is invading and your team has a handful of motes? Then go after them. If you have more than 5 motes, then you should definitely hide. Or be courageous and kill the invader. Even if you have to throw a super at that one target to make sure your team doesn't get wiped. You sometimes gotta go for it. The more you panic and wait for them to make the next move, the higher the chance you're going to just get wiped. Also, invade if you have the chance then. The invasion marks are at 25 motes, 50 motes, then permanent when the primeval is summoned. No you don't need your super nor do you need your heavy to invade. Just be cautious, watch out for the large glowing dots you see from other players and try your best. Hell, even if you don't get any kills, distracting the enemy is still better than nothing that possibly allows your teammates to get more motes or so.

    • What are you doing to help your team win? what are you doing to improve as a Gambit player. I don't seem to run into this problem as much on Xbox. I'm currently on a 7 game win streak as a solo queue player in Gambit, I was running as a tether hunter or melting point titan.
