So before we start just wanna make this clear, this is for when you MATCHMAKE the voldunr forge. Having a fireteam you can communicate with can go a few different ways but for the sake of this post, this is for MATCHMAKING
Ok first off, light machine guns only. Like cmon. It's 270 rounds of heavy x3 people, do the math. Whispers are great and all but only if everyone is using them and your using well, MP, etc. From MY experience 8/10 players use LMG so if your gonna matchmake the forge do your team a favor and PLEASE equip one. Also, the 1k is trash everywhere but Gambit. Hint hint, don't bring it matchmaking.
Second and holy s h i t probably the most important and why I'm doing this post. When your on the 3rd wave killing the big a s s cabal with the shield & drones, DO NOT stand at the entrance. You will lose SOOOOO much time reviving constantly where as you stand in the back left cave not only do you recieve NO damage from behind your funneling all of the enemies making it 100x easier to melt anything in your sight.
3rd, if your Titan, use your barricade for infinite ammo, MP first, stack up, and melt with LMG. Hunters , BB is fantastic here. Tether not so much, and arc strider is 50-50. I think BB works better and does the same if not more damage than arc strider but much faster so you can resume melting with LMG. Warlocks, WELL Forget all other classes exist. Well buffs and heals the entire fireteam allowing for a continuous barrage of LMG.
This is the strat everyone should be using in matchmaking. The combos you can stack up, time from NOT waiting to revive, and how fireteam friendly they are, truly will make volundr soooo much easier for EVERYONE. Most of you have thunderlords or hammers by now which make it the ideal heavy for this. And paired with proper subclasses this shouldn't be hard at all. The most important part is using the BACK LEFT CAVE so to funnel and reduce an immense amount of damage and time from enemies.

1 ReplyWrecked's guideto being a rando titan in Volundr: 1. Be a Striker. Top tree preferably, but middle works. 2. Wear a Skullfort. 3. -blam!- guns. Shoulder charge everything. Legionaires? Shoulder charge. Psions? Shoulder charge. Dogs? Shoulder charge. Scorpions? Shoulder charge. Phalanxes? Shoulder charge the Legionaire next to him. Cleaver dudes? Not worth your time. Run around him and shoulder charge someone else. Then let someone else shotty him. Same with the odd Colossus. 4. Throwing balls is for plebes and takes time away ftom shoulder charging things. Go shoulder charge blue glowing mobs and add time instead. Let your team mate chase balls around. 5. When you get to Round 3 pull out genades and primarys to kill shield drones...you can't shoulder charge them anyway. Super the warden. Then drop your rally barricade on top of the rock in upper cliff and unload all your heavy. 6. If the warden isn't dead blame your shoulder charge deficient team mates. You did your part.
