I just died, without exaggeration, 12 times to supers in one Quick Play match. I was killed by non supers and non heavies EXACTLY twice in the entire game.
Getting one-hit-killed over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again is not exciting, it's not fun and you learn NOTHING from it. Just blam, you're dead.
So can superduper eleet madskilllllzzzzprrrrooooo peeveepeee god explain to me exactly what the -blam!- is the point?

Why are there guns in shooters anyway?

8 RepliesI saw you bragging about 80 games in quickplay? I've got more than 80 HOURS of quickplay, and that's not even that impressive, I'm sure someone will come along and be like "i have 80 days :D". You know what happens when someone uses their super when they have it first? You have yours after they use theirs. There is no snowball effect, you're just losing get over it.

Edited by KickAssassin: 12/12/2018 6:42:41 PMIt's a valid question. But one of the main ideas of the game as a hole is to have all different game types/modes/PVP/PVE flow together and have everyting transparent. I think this is very important.

It’s all about movement and placement. These are the reasons my warlock uses blink or transversive steps. As well as good map awareness.

FUN MAYBE

1 ReplyWell, there’s more to worry about now in Crucible. . . The power melee from any 3rd Seed Elemental Tree kills in a single use. So now every player went from have 2 supers in a game to 2 supers and 3-4 One-Shot-Power-Melee. There’s alotta hurt in them hills.

Ez kills for casuals to feel like they’re good

2 Repliesbecause it's Destiny not COD
-
7 RepliesOhhhh boy. Then you're going to love tomorrow, when mayhem comes back.

You should play something else
-
8 RepliesUnhappy because unsatisfactory

The point is this is Destiny not CoD. One of the fundamental aspects of this game is the supers, not including them because people don’t like dying from them is ludicrous. If you want games without supers then there’s CoD, Battlefield etc....

4 RepliesI mean, you do learn from getting attacked by people in their supers. You learn how to counter it. You can counter Golden Guns by staying out of their way or having the better shot. You can counter Chaos Reach by staying out of their way as well. Roaming supers can be team-shot. The Quickplay and Competitive are comprised of Team-based game modes. If you can't handle working with others, then go play Rumble.

I give up. Why?

Why is there crucible

6 RepliesSupers are meant to help you feel powerful and turn the tides. If you're struggling against an opponent a super can turn the encounter in your favor. If you're winning a super can widen the gap. What happens is largely dependant on your personal skill level, if you find yourself dying to supers often chances are your team isn't playing effectively the other team is using the super energy gained from success in combat to widen the gap and dominate you.

1 Replyyou must suck

idk I have fun crushing people with supers. That must be the reason they're there.
