Some would argue over the years the Christians have pillaged, and slaughtered more people than the satanists ever did. Ever hear of the crusades? " join the crusade and all your sins before and during will be forgiven " cue mass -blam!- and murder. Sounds pretty freaking evil to me

The Catholic Church deliberately went against the Bible by setting up indulgences, and not letting the people read the Bible. The crusades were against what the first church set out to do. The New Testament says clear as day that the church must not try to convert people but to only love them. The crusades were a result of a corrupt system and our broken humanity. The only thing the Christian church ever did was say “we don’t like gay people” Christianity is a peaceful religion that died out after the Roman Empire and came back after the industrial revolution.

Oh so the christianity that's ruled for the last 700 years isnt the true face of the religion lol The book itself is a big bundle of joy and happiness though right? Not full of murders and inhuman punishments. The book was written by people who wanted to control others, now that we have grown as a species and our IQ points have come up we dont need myths and made up stories to teach us things. I cant take anything seriously that was taken as fact for 500 years then all of a sudden its just a metaphor cause science proves it wrong everywhere we turn. The earth is not 2000 years old, people didnt live untill the age of 700, different languages dont exist because god wanted us to stop arguing.

This is a long conversation that we could debate for a long period of time. I love science. It was my strongest subject in high school. But we’re gonna get nowhere talking online. Just maybe research some reasons about why Christianity is fake AND why it’s real. If you bias yourself you’ll make up your mind when you don’t know all the facts.

The Old Testament is cruel and is to show how our world started. The church tends to take the New Testament as fact. If you look at historical events in the Bible they back up things we already know. Especially about the Roman and Babylonian empire. Also about the science, one example that the Bible is backed up by science is that the Bible spans over 6,000 years. Which would mean that the earth is only 6,000 years old right? But that can’t be true scientist say that the world is billions of years old! But take a second and account the moon landing. There is no weather on the moon, no rain, no wind; which means that dust has no where to go. According to modern science the moon would have 3 feet of thin dust. When Apollo 11 landed on the moon, there was a little over 3 inches of dust.

I did look it up and everywhere you go theres rebuttles from actual science and no counters from Christian science people. You arnt going to convince me. If we lost all science knowledge, every bit of it, all the books..we would get it all back. Because at the end of the day an atom is an atom, the weight of mercury will always be the same when we measure it. If all the bibles were burned then that's it, it's over for religion because it's made up and itll never be recreated.

Did you know (this isn’t in the Bible btw) that all of Jesus’s disciples died telling people about Christ? Every single one except Judas (who killed himself) and John (who was exiled to an island where he wrote revelation). Every single one was either beheaded, stabbed, or crucified telling people about Jesus. Why would 12 people die for something that didn’t happen? Man is inherently evil. He will always choose revenge, greed. Man wants power. Man doesn’t want to die. WHY would 12 men die for something that didn’t happen?

Can’t say I can argue as much there. But being selfish isn’t always a bad thing, to be fair. So long as this selfishness doesn’t result in bad behaviors or attitudes. Because in the end, everybody is just trying to make it in the world.
