Upvote if you think Cores should be scrapped!
I finally got 3 sets of gear I like but with the increased power level I have to use what ever drops because of the lack of cores! Get rid of Cores and let us keep our armor!

For infusion yeah scrap them. For master works keep them.

Keep cores for masterworking and rerolling armor perks. Remove them from infusion. Nothing worse than watching story cut scenes to see your guardian looking like a pile of trash.

1 ReplyI think from the replies we all know how to be 'tight' with masterwork cores and not infuse them every time we get a new piece of armour, instead run round with our guardians looking like pikeys without mods until we reach max light. Point is, why should we have to and why is this even a thing? It never used to be and just seems another pointless addition to the grind. I wish they would go back to the old infusion system.

1 ReplySame here its the one issue that really bothers me in this game right now is the economy. I have three sets of gear on all three characters, modded, shaded and perks that work to my play style and load outs. Now they sit on the wayside until 650, till when I can infuse them again. I haven't purposely masterworked any gear because of this new economy. Now some have hundreds of these cores before Forsaken launched. If you do, then good on you, that's a lot of gameplay.

My light is constantly increasing so apparently, I'm supposed to be constantly infusing any weapons I like? Uhhh Derp?? Bungie really is full of brain dead staff members, it has to be. But hey, "it's not a problem" Is very much so is a fkn problem BUNGIE. Shits wack and ruined my D2 experience.

No just call them Infusment cores. Definition for infusement cores: core that are used to infuse high leve gear into low level gear. Then make a new masterwork core paint the damn crystal blue,green,red, hell I would even take piss yellow and make the masterwork cores for masterworking gear only.

Nope, they should up the cost of infusion. It feels too cheap to me.

Not scrapped, removed from infusion costs. It really slows down build creation and cosmetic builds. It should be used for masterworks and out of slot infusions. Out of slot infusions would make RNG leveling less painful and come at a price. Any armor to any armor and any weapon to any weapon, but at the cost of cores. Boots to boots should not cost cores regardless of item likeness.

Or at least cost 1 for infusion and Masterworking and the last Masterwork would cost 3. Even that I'd be more ok with than flipping glimmer, glimmer+shard, glimmer+shard+core, 2core, 2core, 2core, 2core, 2core, 3core. That's just way too much.

Yes, there is no point in cores. Gear should upgrade on glimmer, gunsmith and planetary materials. They are a pointless time sink.

Not having any issues myself really, seem to get a steady stream of cores coming in and buy a couple from spider when I jump on. But I also do t infuse every single thing and pick my weapons and armour, will infuse more once I'm max light as it's much better that way.

2 RepliesJust make xur bountites that drop 10+ cores. Only from hard activities like " complete whisper of the worm mission " or " complete a leviathan raid with half of your team as your clan" this would also give people a reason to go back to old content and satisfy core economy
