PvP cry babies ruin PvE with all their cries for nerfing shit.

To end all this bullshit they need to just disable all supers in PvP. Keep all other abilities but keep supers out of PvP except the occasional mayhem when it rolls around. PvE gets ruined because Bungie can't balance between the two modes properly. If they disable all supers I'm PvP then all you have to rely on is your skill with a gun and tactical use of other abilities. I'm sick of every time a Hunter gets killed by something the little shit has to run and cry nerf instead of using their brains and counter playing.

        • Example that you dont understand how nerf inpvp work. Telesto will be nerfed in its range and power only in pvp. In pve after this "nerf" bungie will add even more power to telesto than it having now. Still cry about pvp?

            • I see gambit players complains only. btw how nefrs in pvp mode can affect pve. For your information damage in pvp and pve is completely diffrent.

              • Or barebones game mode that counts to glory, no supers , lower health, maybe a few new gamemodes , like handcannon only and stuff, or a specific weapon, and then people who don't have it could try it, similar to how they had that scorch cannon mode for a bit

                  • I would love to see PVP work like a Prestige raid lair. Fixed loadouts. Maybe not in general quickplay, but in the featured mode of the week or in comp. Make the loadouts circulate each day upon reset time. This forces kids to try new weapons in PVP instead of being stuck on the shotgun/telesto meta. (Which should be made a heavy weapon again, but thats another topic). The point is to shake up the meta and force people out of their comfort zones. I can't tell you how annoying it is to see kids who think they're good because, they camp with a shotgun or use a Telesto. A truly good player experiments with loadouts and can adapt. Forced loadouts also levels the playing field. Supers should be left alone because, honestly, each class has their OP super. You just have to learn how to use it properly. Again, forced loadouts shouldn't be a quickplay requirement, but having a separate playlist for it or even in comp on the weekends would be nice. Maybe make those fixed loadout playlists worth it by making the points earned towards valor/glory double if you decide to do a fixed loadout match. Just a thought I had a while ago.

                    • No. Bungie ruins everything because they don't want to do a -blam!-ing days work. You need to understand that pve players cry about things being overpowered too. "This is overpowered and it's allowing teh nubezors to pleh mah end game content whaaaaa" If something is good, people want it nerfed, and rather then bungie saying "Well, this specific weapon is doing a better job of handling a role in the game that was designed for another weapon, so we're going to buff this other weapon so it more reliably competes in that specific role, while not specifically breaking the other weapon... Leaving it up to the player to decide which weapon is most effective for them." they instead go "well then just nerf that weapon so it can't compete with the other weapon anymore." It is why in roughly 5 years there has never been a scout rifle meta in spite of it being a weapon specifically engineered to compete at all ranges (aside from a few brief mida multitool flare ups that come and go every six months or so) and why swords are now objectively pointless in this game. What they need to do is have some weapons that are objectively too powerful for crucible and have them "banned from use" in crucible by shax because it endangers the ghosts and the point is to train guardians, not kill them, and have them only show up in pve. Swords being one of them. Possibly fusion rifles as well. But again, where I started, if you make something that is just too good in pve, people will be wanting it nerfed too because they don't want to use that specific weapon, or in the case of ye olde yeller horn, they don't want to be excluded because they don't have it.

You still have to address that not all guns are the same, and they use a super outdated system to connect games, on top of broken "matchmaking", a catch up mechanic in PvP where the guys who aren't so good suddenly become mlg try hardest. Don't disagree about removing supers, just saying there is [b][i]a lot[/i][/b] of other shit that needs addressed as well.

                                  • Actually, most changes are done separate from each entity. Really the only thing that would affect both is supers, but when the eventual nerf to nova warp comes, who even uses it in pve anyway? Well of radiance is a no brainier...

                                      I mean the game just needs redesigned to a degree. The game doesn't get play tested enough for them to plant their feet and say this is fine so just adjust numbers. Basic design is still fun to use and to fight against. Destiny routinely fails at fight against. Though I would say use as well because things like melee mechanics are crap. Having two different ways to choose targets that are never in agreement is idiotic.

                                          I'm just tired of the game being catered to one segment of the population so much. Right now EVERYTHING is catered to the elite. In PvE and PvP our experience are completely dictated by the people who play for a living who got us: [spoiler]"Meaningful infusion" requiring Cores Exotics that never drop Punishing AF RNG Random rolls on everything Content that drops power-gated to where only they can run it the first weeks/months Endgame that is now all about forever leveling vs developing and getting to play multiple characters Cheap power advantages in IB and Gambit The original destruction of D1 PvP and D2's 4v4 bastardization with all their nerf complaints on everything from weapons, abilities, grenades, artifacts, etc in Trials The addition of a Comp mode nobody actually enjoys outside of getting pinnacle weapons to then abuse vs lower skill players in QP The removal of SBMM in QP that allows 2500 Elo players to exclusively play 900-1300 level players and never have to play even competition and letting 90% of our games be decided by which team gets the ringer(s) The complete destruction of solo PvP as there's nothing to level the playing field for solos vs fireteams without skill considerations that previously kept fireteams from grossly out-skilling solos. The Sleeper nerf because a great weapon everyone had access to wasn't fair somehow The upcoming nerf to Telesto because even though in the same TWaB announcement players ask for fusions to be buffed for damage and range to have something/anything to counter shotguns, the fact that the only EXOTIC fusion to fill that roll is getting nerfed because shotgunners don't actually like a fair counter makes no sense. Talks of upcoming buffs to snipers even though weapons like Supremacy are stupid good and players just destroy with it who actually learn to use it and the fact snipers are exactly what they're meant to be at the moment. Great secondary/support/big play weapons and not the defacto primary weapon that was more effective at every range than any other weapon in the game in D1 [/spoiler] Hopefully at some point there will be a better balance and place for the everyday gamers. It's great there's more to do and chase than year one and more depth, but it's gone too far. The game is too much of a job right now and between not being able to use what we want for months because of infusion, to having our weapons we can use and love nerfed because only the great guns they love are "fair" (DRB, Chaperone, 2 Tap Luna's and NF, Colony, Wardcliff, snipers, etc), to even having PvP wins and losses determined by RNG with the awful matchmaking before the games even begin is all too much.
