What's the logic behind making Scout Rifles -blam!-ing trash?

Cuz if scouts were strong then bows would be pointless

Not sure about PVP, but in PVE they just don’t fit with the way the game is mostly functioning now. There are a LOT more enemies usually than D1, and a lot seem to move quicker as well, kinda the same reason snipers kinda suck too. It’s just not WORTH it to use them now. Spam weapons like Pulses are way more forgiving and are really strong now. Scouts were always my favorite though and hope they make a comeback.

Dunno. Nameless Midnight served me well for year one and now it shoots cotton balls. Damn shame. Been a big scout fan since early D1.

Its not that scouts are bad, it is just that there are not alot of maps in d2 for scouts to dominate.

It's the maps. Most of the maps are small and support close range weapons there are only a handful of maps which scouts do really well on tbh.

They are a weapon that can perform well more constantly then a pulse rifle. Just get the right role. My nameless midnight has kill clip.

Are we talking PVP only because I find they could still use a boost in PVE. I wanted to love Transfiguration the second I got the curated roll and even though it's a 150 rpm which got buffed I still feel like pulses and handcannons are PVE king. They're also PVP king which is crazy.

15 RepliesI feel like everything is viable right now except SMGs. Scouts are fine. The guaranteed 3 tap from 150s is great. Try Polaris, Wrong Side of Right, and Does Not Compute.

Mida still reigns. But I agree I would like to see more scouts in the crucible. Diversity is always a great thing.

[i]Have you tried them since the patch on Tuesday?[/i] They are not "trash". The 150 rpm Scouts---that is most SRs in the game----were BUGGED for all of Season 4. They took a damage nerf...and then they were bugged so that they fired too slowly. The fire rate bug has been fixed, so they now have a TTK that is comparable to every other weapon in the game.
