I had the same issue happen to me but with the auto rifle frame. My sniper rifle frame disappeared as well.

I had the autorifle and sniper frames, completed a Volundr forge and received the autorifle but lost the sniper frame (which was fully ready to be forged with a Gofannon completion). Back at Ada-1 I can now only purchase the machine gun and autorifle frames. Bnet: xSilentRob#1461

Same happened to me when I finished the Auto rifle Frame the Sniper disappeared 😭 can't even pick it up and start it all over again. It's just gone.
