The dlc actually needed a small storyline because jumping into the black armory and learning that Ada despises guardians without any further explanation on why this is doesn’t make any sense. I really hope the content that will be released and especially the raid will be up to par with the Forsaken content. Always taking a step back.

i honestly expected to hear her over the comms as we explored the content, so while we wouldn't get loads of elaborate cutscenes we'd still be getting new information and context to what we are doing

Well it's Bungie. What would you expect from some random update to be fair. Most people play new content they introduce for a grind and loot, a story is an after thought.
