Howdy! Just want to share my thoughts on your defenses. Take it with a grain of salt as I have gotten D2 and Forsaken recently, and I’m still grinding to get to 600 (I’m 540ish atm)
Defense 1: This is probably the stance of yours I agree the most with. I’m not too upset however, because this content expands our options for endgame gear. This doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to not be doing activities which we have already been doing. This is Forsaken’s annual pass, all Forsaken activities are (and should) still be viable activities to gain powerful gear from. With that being said, if Bungie are going to release new content, they should at least release it at a reasonable light level (600 IMO) so people can participate in it from the get go. These activities should be challenging due to their mechanics and amounts of enemies, not because of light level.
Defense 2: I really don’t get your argument here. Yes, you are dropping $30 for black armory, but also for Joker’s Wild AND for Penumbra. They are not being sold individually for $30, it’s $30 for everything. And if they were, would that really change anything?
Defense 3: Technically this is an expansion, however in Bungo terms this is not. They view it as something that REALLY overhauls the story and activities. Which now that I think about it, doesn’t the pass do that? Hmm...I’ll probably have to think more about this later. Come back for an edit or share your thoughts and I will reply to it.
Defense 4: This one seems redundant as you mention this in Defense 1. But again, I agree with this even though I’m not as upset over it.

With defense number 2, the point is that you can't just buy black Armory. If I want to play it, I pay 30 bucks in order to access it with the other content following months behind. It's not that they won't be worth it (though they probably won't), but I have to pay thirty bucks in order to access black Armory, a trash expansion.

I guess so, personally, I don’t see the point of just paying $10 for each one. Might as well get the package deal and sit back. To each their own though!

For many, it cost £30. Coz they paid 30 n won't be back, ever. I talked 2 friends into coming back yesterday, they bought it, we logged on, an hour later they went back to other games and will never return. I'm sure there's more

I mean you’re paying for not just content now, but for content until the next big expansion. I would really encourage you guys to come back maybe in a few weeks when more is available. But if you enjoy other games and would rather spend time there, go for it!

I feel like early D2 was REALLY bad about conning, while now they are getting a bit better. I understand the caution though, such practices are not healthy and very detrimental to consumers. I came back because I saw such conditions getting better, but if it takes another turn for the worst I will be following you and others out the door most likely for good

Yeah, such is the grind of a looter shooter. Loot seems pretty dank though, and we’ll be getting new raids. I’d call it worth, but it’s all a matter of opinion

See, I disagree with you, but at least you're reasonable. Half the people here arguing for it think it isn't a con at all and don't acknowledge that it's a matter of opinion for some. They just say there isnt any good reason to be upset.

Agreed I get pretty salty at some of these pro black Armory comments but this guy is good. His argument makes sense and he acknowledges it's a bit of a con and also acknowledges that being upset makes sense, he just isnt. Much better than the stuff other people are posting (myself included, tbh)

Thanks for the kind words! It’s all just a matter of tastes and cost-benefit analysis I think. For me, it seems worth, but for others it doesn’t. I have my point of view and y’all can have your own. No harm done in sharing
