The horde mode is the only thing new (other than the raid which isn’t out yet) and you can’t even complete it, and move to the next quest step, until you’re 615? So this first week we are just doing the same stuff we have been doing for months already! Theres nothing new!! Can’t even get anything from the new vendor.
update: They made it easier. Just took a while and lots of tries with terrible random teammates. But finally completed it at 607. I’m now 615 with two Hammerheads and the auto rifle. Now doing the quest where you have to do patrols, adventures, strikes, etc, with Forge weapon equipped for powerful engram. It’s actually not as bad once you finally beat the forge the first time. It also really helps having good teammates who know what they’re doing.
Update: now 622 and at the second forge. I like it a lot better than I did the first day.

Who cares if you have to play 6+ hours of old content to get get to new content?
-
ahem it's an event not a DLC you have until september to complete it or at least do anything in it

I will now quote a guardian on this forum. This individual knows who they are. Twas 5 days before the Dawning And all through the Tower Every Guardian was stirring To increase their Power The objectives were played And completed with care In hopes that in the Forge Rewards would lie there But the Guardians had to work And shoot Cabal on the field The timer ran out Forcing them to yield The Casuals were angry They had to work harder They envied the Hardcores And called each of them a D*** Rider Then the Hardcores laughed And called the casuals bad So during this forum war Everyone got mad The Casuals demanded Bungie: “Make it easier! We want to play!” While the Hardcores said: “Don’t let it be done in a day!” While the trolls saw this They came from down low To once again insult The Community Manager Cozmo Twas a dark time in the forums And a salty first day Wait, the Dawning? Eva Levante? She’s coming to the Tower With cookies made with bliss And all free of charge Take that, Tess Everis!

New content will be rolling out over the Season of the Forge. Forge 2 and the Raid are opening up on Friday. But we hear you about not being able to complete the first Forge right away until you increase your power. We are reading through the feedback and currently investigating ways to improve the experience for players trying to power up to play the Forge content.

my light is still way too low and i can't even go into the forge to get the black armory weapon by the time i do have enough light the event will probably be over XD

This is the best “Mini DLC” we’ve gotten. Saying that this doesn’t beat CoO is very incorrect. And you’re only saying that because it had a campaign. IMO, I would rather have three new forges, a raid, new weapons and armor, really cool and creative exotics, than some half-assed missions and a raid lair with mediocre armor and weapons. Oh and some strikes that were literally story missions.

this dlc is a slap in the face for all casual guardians, particularly for those under 600 i don't want to grind the old stuff anymore, which i did the last weeks, i want new planets or at least new magic quests like the whisper, but there is nothing in this dlc, so i safe my money. i play now other games instead, didn't thought that i say this ever, because i used to like destiny a lot and i thought it lasts forever... and no, i won't leave this forum, i don't want to miss the message that this dlc will be a free gift.... lol

I disagree. It's end game content. Meant for when you've beaten everything already. It's a slow trickle but yes there should be at least something for the casual player to enjoy. This is something new Bungie is trying, give them a friggin minute to set shit up. BTW Curse from Osiris was shit this is just new and undeveloped.

Does the Forge close at any point?
-
What power level even is the raid?! No way anyone is ready for it. Kinda like Last Wish. Facepalm*
-
It's not a DLC moron
-
Its simply a update to Forsaken’s endgame but you’d know that if you paid any type of attention to the vidoc, bungie’s own words, oh and the multiple post speaking of it before it dropped

Edited by nonchalantone: 12/5/2018 2:04:24 PMI literally. LITERALLY just got 4 bonds for my warlock. ALL THE SAME LIGHT LEVEL (607)!! For everyone saying just "play".....come on now......how can you get leveled up like this????? 4 "powerful " engrams....all bonds.....come on now......
-
the forge can be very easily beaten at 610 power minimum and it really doesnt take that long to get to 510. all you need to do is the raid, challenges and dreaming city weekly bounties and you will get there really quickly
-
They have time periods between the forges and who knows what the heck is Niobe labs
-
They literally told you that there were no story elements yo this stuff. They basically admitted that it was going to be garbage before they even sold it.
-
and agreed my light is still way too low to do the DLC
-
it's annual
-
My clanmates and I beat the forge last night, on day 2, at 606-610 power. Point invalid.
-
It's an extension to Forsaken! I mean if it was a true DLC, the title screen would change!!! Dadgum! Quit huffing and use your last remaining brain cell!! Swear, same people who complain about this complain about getting killed in PvP because thinking hurts their left eyebrow...
-
When you haven’t played all of its contents yet but apparently it sucks
-
D2 year 1 - ‘destiny sucks, I miss the grind of D1. Stop catering for the casuals’ D2 year 2 - ‘this is ridiculous, I want to play all the content now! Why is it so difficult to get to a higher light! I want to be able to play an hour a week and get everything I want’ Destiny community ladies and gentlemen
-
Waaaa it’s not fair... I want it now
-
Who is telling people you need to be 615??? It's not that friggin hard!!
-
clan mates and I have the forge on farm and we were under 610 when we completed our first forge.

Edited by Eduardo: 12/5/2018 10:27:50 PMIts time we say what we're all thinking, this game is made for streamers. Then when we complain about this, streamers get defensive and make up lies about their married friend of a friend who works a 24 hour job, has 30 kids and 50 grandkids and is already at 600. There was also no way for Bungie to keep any casual gamer engaged after a month to continue the same content grind, and this lack of engagement is what led to what we have now, which is that no one can play the Forge yet lmao. The content itself isnt the problem because we all expected this small burst of content, its the lack of engagement and incentive for normal players. They never even added simple events like Mayhem since Forsaken release, they never kept the content engaging bcs even the Halloween event was more of a grind than a fun little update. The murder mystery being timegated was also so weird and unnecessary, as a casual I both forgot and lost interest in doing it. So overall, I dont think its the content itself, its that bungie just dont know how to make the content they have engaging and interesting without feeling like you completed a week's worth of powerful reward challenges to only go from 570 to 571. If theyre going to keep the engram grind this awful, at least find ways to make old content engaging, since we're being forced to do it to even participate. RANNNNT
