I can pretty much confirm a ninja-nerf to Exotic drop rates since early Forsaken

The first couple weeks of Forsaken I got most of my Exotics from killing enemies running the Blind Well. I noticed this and actually farmed Blind Well most of the time. That was at a lower Power, though, around ~510-530. Since getting closer to 600, I haven't seen a single drop from Blind Well. - My Theory • 1: The enemies in the Blind Well early on in Forsaken were at or above your Power Level and were considered "Powerful Enemies". That would mean they have the highest possible chance of dropping an Exotic upon killing them. • 2: Bungie ninja-nerfed the Exotic drop rates from killed enemies since early Forsaken - My Test • Purposely putting myself at that sweet spot of ~510-530 Power • Manipulate the game into thinking you are at that Power Level for the best chance at Exotics (The game registers your best possible Power Level based on the gear in your Inventory and Vault, you would have to transfer high Power gear to Alternates so the game wouldn't recognize them - This wasn't possible on my account because my inventory and Vault is filled with 600s) • Got on my Secondary account, got myself to that sweet spot, and did nothing but Blind Well for a whole day. • In early Forsaken, typically I got an Exotic after 2-4 hours of Blind Well. - Results After a whole day of Blind Well on my Secondary account, I managed to get 0 Exotics. This isn't maybe the most reliable information, theory, and test but I'm convinced that Bungie nerfed the drop rates from killed enemies. I wanted to test and have proof for myself.

When bungie lowered light requirement for the forge via a server sided update, i became convinced of the conspiracy theory that ALL drop rates can be altered through served sided updates (ninja updates).

    • It was ninja nerfed on week 4 after forsaken, i can confirm it, i was steadily dropping 1 new exotic per week, always at the start of the reset, along with 4/5 duplicates per week, then week 4 came, and exotics vanished from the face of destiny, old and new, took me 6/7 weeks to find another new exotic, then 4 more weeks to drop the next, that was yesterday, since the exotic drop was ninja buffed i think with black armory, i noticed it, as some people too
