Black Armory isn't being sold separately?!!!

Sell them separately

18

I'd rather just blindly buy the annual pass

27

Not sure, waiting to see the quality of content

I hope this is just a mistake on my part, but Why isn't the annual pass content NOT being sold seperately? People are already on the fences about this game in the first place, this just seems like another stupid move... After all a crappy $14.99 expansion is A LOT easier pill to swallow then a possible terrible $34.99 bundle package. I, myself am waiting until all 3 pieces of content are made available for purchase seperately, after spending $100 on the digital deluxe edition at D2 launch, just for the game to be heavily discounted months later, then being free to download last month, and the crappy first 2 expansions (with a little more credit going to warmind) i will NEVER make that mistake again with a bungie game. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR BUNGIE, MAKE THESE AVAILABLE SEPARATELY! D1 expansions were all available separately, selling forsaken and then this annual pass BS so close together was a stupid move, but to try and get people to buy a "whole year" of content, sight unseen for the most part, and to cut the ability to purchase them separately, just feel a bit GREEDY to me. Especially with all the past issues, you don't wanna drive more of the player base away, again especially if this DLC ends up tanking and the loyal base you still have left is pissed of at wastling $35 bucks... Again $15 is easier to brush off then $35 (even if you end up paying $45 overall for the same content, JUST PURCHASED SEPARATELY) If you DON'T make this move, i feel that the majority of the player base will wait until they ARE available separately or the annual pass is discounted heavily... And by that time, many (including myself) might move on to other games while waiting for something that may never happen, thus hurting the game further. I am a Destiny vet, have played and beaten both games and all expansions on both the ps4 & xbox one, so i think its more than fair to say, I'm a TRUE idiot, and a investor to these games and i know what I'm talking about... The ONLY way this annual pass will work, is that if you (Bungie) hit it out of the park 9 or 10/10 and even then just because the 1 expansion may be good, there is still WAY TOO MUCH mystery surrounding the follwing 2, and seeing on how the biggest expansion forsaken (while desent) wasn't anything to write home about... I believe that NONE of the annual pass, mini expansions will even hold a candle to fosaken (if that expansion is being uses as a benchmark) oh well, i hope the right decisions are made not just for the betterment of the game, but more importantly to your loyal fans!

  • After the Taken King DLC, Bungie offered the April 2016 update for free. With no new IP and questionable content in D2 (i.e. reskined or recycled elements), Bungie really is desperate.

  • Please read what the annual pass actually is. Selling these things separately would not make a whole lot of sense. Which means, based on Bungies track record, that is exactly what they will try and do. IT IS NOT TRADITIONAL DLC. The idea is that the game evolved over time. The only problem with the annual pass is the a lot of people are too stupid to realize what that means. SMH

        • Lol suckers!!!! As i said, Black Armory isn't without issues. I have been reading negative reviews most the day. I told people this would happen... Oh well, some people have to learn the hard way. Sorry to the people that bought into the annual pass, hopefully the remaining DLCs will be better (i'd be willing to bet aganist it though) The "YAWNING" event is coming up, anyone blindly spending money on that? Lol

        • Welcome to the new age of gaming. Bungie isn’t the first one to start this trend and deathly not the last ,this is going to be the way gaming is going forward. Other than the free to play games with loads of micro transactions this is the new frontier of gaming. I understand the point you’re attempting to make & good on you for standing your ground. Truthfully I don’t see much difference in this then when I purchased D1 w/ all DLC upfront, not knowing what I was actually getting in the future. Some people have a problem with that concept and some don’t,with myself being in the later category ,because this is my hobby & it’s what I enjoy. I’ve been gaming since 75, & have spent a ton of money on crappy games over the yrs. it’s no different then my wife bitching about the thousands upon thousands of dollars I’ve spent on my fishing equipment & boat. It’s my money and it’s my hobby.

            • Hilarious people like you who just don’t want to get it. Bungie is desperate for cash right now. They have no alternative but to squeeze whatever is left of their playerbase.

              • I don’t see any harm in purchasing separately. Destiny has done it in the past and they decide to change it now? The only reason I can see this change would be because too many people purchased the early dlc separate and didn’t return to buy the next one. Buying the dlc desperate would make Bungie more money. If enough people don’t buy the next dlc then they essentially lose out on profit. By combining the dlc they can secure full payment and have no risk of people buying one dlc and not paying for the next. It is all about profit, that is how the world works. And if people can’t afford the 35$ or here in Canada $46.99 to pay for all at once there is no reason to put them down. You are not aware of their financial situation and Christmas is just around the corner and most of you know Christmas can become a very expensive holiday.

              • If you cannot stomach $35 (around 9 to 10 cents a day) for an entire year, please leave the Destiny forums, stop playing games, and re-evaluate your life choices.

                • If they sold it for separately it would probably cost more than the entire annual pass. My immediate reaction to this post in my brain was "haha ur poor you can't afford stuff". But people with terrible money management skills are the main people that complain here.

                    • 15.00 X 4 = 60.00 SO IF THEY SOLD EACH PIECE OF CONTENT SEPERATELY YOU WOULD SPEND MORE . ALSO KEEP IN MIND ITS A YEAR OF CONTENT FOR 35.00 I MEAN C'MON A YEAR FOR 35.00

                      • If you’re complaining about $35 then you’ve got bigger problems than a DLC in a video game.

                        • Totally with you, dude! In my country this anual pass isn't cheap! Also I don't like to being forced to pay for something that I won't play right now. I rather pay separately even if it costs me a little bit more.

                        • They did this so you cannot make YouTube videos talking shit and no one buys it. Money up front or find the door. Almost can’t blame them with how hateful people online can be. Still a little scummy, I don’t like having to “trust us”.

                            • Hello, I’m sorry but Bungie have already said several times that the content won’t be sold separately. https://twitter.com/bungie/status/1068267278901293056?s=21 If you wish to play Black Armoury you will need to buy the Annual pass.
