There are two terms we have to clear up.
Sex, and gender.
A lot of people get these two things confused, so we’re going to explain it very simply.
Sex is what’s in your pants. For most intents and purposes, there are two sexes. Male and female.
Gender is something different. It is how we perceive ourselves. It is a psychological thing, not a physical one.
Until recently, we had decided that, as a society, there were two genders. However, as we start to understand things better, we can start to realize that we as a society can create more genders, or, as some people eloquently put it, “make them up”.
So yes, all these crazy genders are made up, human, constructions.
But no more so than your gender

Edited by Casual: 12/9/2018 7:09:59 AMsince when did you redefine gender? Sex and gender are synonyms (literally just look in a dictionary) dating back all the way to the 14th century. If you want to call what you feel sexually Bingolongowombo that go at it but don't force society into redefining simple terms into whatever you want.

1 ReplyTwo questions: Should society operate on gender or sex? (Think bathrooms and college dorm housing, etc.) Where do chromosomes play into all of this?
-
5 RepliesI don't know. Gender just sounds like word made to create a false distinction between your physical state of being, and your identity.

15 RepliesThere are two genders/sexes. Males have different hormones than females, testosterone. That makes males the way they are and look and develop. Females don't have that hormone and are therefore, not Male. Male is not equal to Female. Different hormones. Sexes are just the scientific way of saying gender, which is the lamen's term. It's like saying the Femur and the thigh bone are different things.

5 RepliesI believe there are only two genders and sexes but the Bible says that when we are nearing the end of times men will start having sex with men and women with women so unfortunately it's not going to go away until the world does.

21 RepliesEdited by Fixit: 12/4/2018 2:06:41 AMYou know science already has many combinations of chromosomes for actual gender. There's millions of people that don't fit into the generic XX or XY. All we work off is the physical. If we change our actual thinking about it, yes technically there are other combinations to gender other than just the physical. If we don't change our thinking, yes there are only male and female.

1 ReplyGod damn, it's so -blam!-ing simple. Males have a penis and testicles. Females have vaginas, ovaries, a uterus and mammary organs in their breasts for producing milk for offspring. The purposes behind these PHYSICAL constructs that have existed for many a millennia is the sexual reproduction of humans for our overall continued existence. Now I understand the "gender is a social construct" and "sex and gender are two different things" shticks that every one of these further left leaning ass-wipes keep regurgitating. What they're trying to do is divorce the ideas that women have to be the stay at home mothers that rear their children and men have to be the bread winners that provide for families (or gender roles) from biological sex. The problem is that we also have these same people claiming that doctors are misgendering babies. Ever look at a birth certificate? Most of them use the word sex and not gender. This tells me that there are a bunch of people on the left that don't know the differences between "sex" and "gender" themselves. It's just a cluster-blam!- of virtue signaling to protect a poor, small minority's itty-bitty widdle fee-fees. At this point though, I rather just say screw it and instead of accepting some bullshit that's told to me, I should derive my own views on the issue which are the following, and I reiterate: Males have a penis and testicles. Females have vaginas, ovaries, a uterus and mammary organs in their breasts for producing milk for offspring. The purposes behind these PHYSICAL constructs that have existed for many a millennia is the sexual reproduction of humans for our overall continued existence. These differences are COMPLEMENTARY to one another. Neither side is of any greater importance over the other. EVERYONE should have the individual right to decide for themselves their senses of fashion, their hobbies and their social and economic roles in life no matter how masculine or feminine. Biological sex determining a person's roles in life is an outdated and archaic idea in today's society, however, you're an idiot to call a duck anything other than a duck.

Play what ever game you like, but don’t be a little bitch because others don’t want to play too. If someone comes up to me and respectfully asks me to call them something else I have no problem. But that’s yet to happen. Every other “gender” (sexuality) comes up and demands I know their kink upon seeing their bad makeup. And then somehow I’m a bigot/sexist/racist because I didn’t address what I thought was a man as some dyslexics attempt at the alphabet.
-
Honestly, at this point I don't care. Do what you like, but don't force me to believe the same thing.

I could say that my cat is a potato by redefine the term potato as a cat. The problem with our generation is that anyone can redefine anything and as long as they accept it, it is true.

My philosophy is that your gender is your business. But if you want to enter the Ladies room without getting chased out or arrested or punched in the nose, your SEX better be female.
-
17 RepliesSo, people like you want to disregard and throw away hundreds of years of science because you're emotionally and mentally unstable? Ya, ok. Lol
-
Is it wrong to group genders either side of the middle as male and female? I mean, thats what it is; masculine and feminine. Given this, you can be any kind of dude you want, but you’re still a dude. Same for you, ladies.
-
35 RepliesThis is dumb. Just because ppl “feel” like they r this gender, doesn’t mean they are. Ya can’t beat science, and I’m sure as heck ain’t calling someone a gender that they aren’t. If you have male genitals ur a man and if u have female genitals ur a women. Simple as that. If ur a woman and u say “I feel like a man” doesn’t mean jack shit. Also you have the definition of gender completely wrong. Sex and gender have the same definition, they aren’t 2 separate things, they have always been synonyms.
-
If you don’t want to have sex with a transgendered person you’re sexist and racist.

I would advise that you keep posting this, and get muted by everyone so that you have no relevance here. I don't want that to happen, because everyone should be able to voice their opinions. But for the love of God, don't start this.

I feel like "if it doesn't hurt you, what's the problem?" is a bad argument. People can be "hurt" on personal and systemic levels by The Thing: their group status can be diminished, they can feel personally offended, their beliefs and values can be challenged, the world can change around them in ways that make them uncomfortable. People often do feel genuinely hurt in these ways by such things, and that hurt informs their reactions, even if that's not the language they'd use to describe themselves (and of course we're all too polite to ask those people if they're triggered, or if they need a safe space, etc). But that doesn't make The Thing a problem, it doesn't mean anyone should be sympathetic to the person feeling hurt, and it gives them an out, instead of having to confront The Thing on its own merits.

Edited by Green Twister: 12/4/2018 12:38:08 AMI still see them as the same gender but if they want to -blam!- up their body sure go ahead. If they can have their believes ( opinions ) on it why cant i.
