Difficult. Of course it’s always been something hard to do but after recent patches fixing taken vandals and making wizards actually utilize cover the vorgeth fight is officially the most frustrating thing in the game. I used a fairly cheesy loadout but no matter what your loadout is it’s gonna require some skill and determination to get past vorgeth.
Vorgeth is by far the hardest part of soloing. Once I got past him it was basically smooth sailing to my triumph and emblem. The reason he’s so hard is because it’s a fight that was very strictly tuned for multiple people. Soloing it means that vorgeth is always shooting at you and if you do so much as pop your head out of position get ready to go flying halfway across the room.
I don’t really have much to say about Dul Incaru. With whisper it felt pretty cheesy but that might just be me. If you can get past vorgeth you can get past dul incaru it just might take a few tries. This fight felt a lot better to solo than vorgeth so I really can’t complain much.
Overall it was an interesting experience anything that wasn’t a boss was easy asf to solo but getting to vorgeth is the equivalent to hitting a brick wall or stepping into a war with the cabal on mars. As I said my loadout was pretty cheesy I had one taken armaments, one Taken repurposing, two transcendent blessings, and a resilience mod (lmao). For vorgeth I ran midnight coup, age old bond (killclip, zen moment), and 1k voices. For dul I ran Bite of the Fox ( rapid hit, explosive rounds, boss spec), Nation of beasts (curated), and whisper. Entire run was Well-lock. If requested I can do a guide as I feel like I learned a lot from the encounter given the new wizard movements and taken vandals but it seems the internet is already pretty saturated with guides. Also I did it on ps4 reg not pc.
TLDR; I soloed shattering throne and it was interesting.

4 RepliesMy opinion is that the AI in the Vorgeth encounter needs some serious looking at. Mind you've I've cleared Shattered Throne multiple times but have yet to solo because the AI is being absurd. I was unable to do anything for 10 minutes straight because every single thing in the room was being shelled by a Goblin or a Vandal. TEN MINUTES. That is not ok. Next up is how inconsistent Vorgeth is. When you're with a team its a not an issue. Solo the consistency of his damage and knockback makes for a very poor solo experience. It feels like the encounter is being dictated by RNG not skill on my part and its annoying. Otherwise everything else is fine.

Nice work getting it done solo. I tried to solo it twice (first was to simply complete it, and the second was to finish the Wish Ender quest), but I had to get a team for Vorgeth both times because of how tough his fight was.

1 ReplyGood job,I still have not mustered up the will to try it out, let alone solo it. I think I'm subconsciously holding out on it until I get Phoenix protocol, then I'll run it,lol.
