Grenade launcher pros, advice please

I'm a grenade launcher noob. Been playing with them today since getting the quest step. I'm getting kills, but struggling with the double kills bit. I have a militia's birthright and run it with Luna in comp or go for triple gl in qp. Any tips/recommendations appreciated, and also what the most useful perks are on gls. Thanks

  • If you want double kills you need to use heavy launchers. Lightweights are only capable of killing on a direct hit, and you can't exactly get a direct hit on two people simultaneously.

  • Precision Frame Grenade Launchers and wait for Power Bricks. They have the widest Blast Radius and most of their damage is weighted in the Blast Radius (which equals tagging more enemies with higher damage numbers that aren’t grouped up right on top each other). You just need to learn to time Remote Detonate right. You can get a Year 1 “Orthrus” from Nessus still if you haven’t played through Year 1. Year 2 Terrain Wind also has the Remote Detonation perk but it’s Blast Radius is a little smaller. If you played Year 1, then “Sunrise GL4” has best in-class stats. Iron Banner’s “The Day’s Fury” has Spike Grenades. If you don’t want to learn how to Remote Detonate, Adaptive Frames with High Explosive Ordinance Perk should distribute more damage to the Blast Radius but you need to either direct impact Guardians or aim for the Floor at their feet to do the consistent damage. Easier to use but a little more constraining.

    • K think Fostbolt said proximity is the perk you’re looking for and heavy GLs are good for the double kills.

    • Go practice hitting aliens directly in the face with them. At all ranges. Then when that becomes muscle memory and you have a clear mental picture of your grenades trajectory and velovity, start shooting gaurdians in the face with them. If your needing those pesky calculated trajectory medals, your gonna have to calculate some trajectories.

    • A lot of people tell me Fighting Lion is really good but I can't for the life of me do anything with that gun. Birthright is pretty snappy but my roll on it is garbage.
