So my ps4 won't stop beeping.

I'm guessing it's trying to continuously eject a disc. It's driving me insane! It's three beeps in a row real fast, and it does it sometimes every 15 seconds. Sometimes every 5 minutes. Is there anyway to fix it? I tried wiping the button down but it didn't seem to do anything. It also sucks because that means I can't play anything with a disc anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Have you tried tossing it in the trash and getting an xbox instead?

    • Have you tried kicking it? Not a guarantee, but I've had it work on every TV and console that's ever bugged out on me.

      • Remove the small rubber bit right underneath on the front that the PS4 sits on.

      • There is a cover on the ps4, take it off, and you will find a screw, unscrew that and u can manually take out the disc from there. Then just put everything back

        • Fill a bucket with water, place ps4 into bucket, make sure it's still plugged in and on, leave for 10 mins, fixed!
think I've read somewhere about the rubber seal underneath the disc button, if it gets too hot it expands and the button thinks it's being touched, if your not bothered you can pull that piece of rubber out and that might fix it.
• Have you got a day 1 PS4 (or 1st release)? I had the exact same thing happen. Sometimes a few resets work, other times a hard reset of taking the cord out was needed. I ended up trading it in over black friday for the PS4 pro to get away from a disc ejecting halfway through a game. My understanding is it is to do with poor welding on the internals. Apparently it can be fixed, but I wanted the Pro.

        • Did you try turning it off, then on again? Did you try inserting a disc, then manually ejecting? Did you try shaking/smacking it? (rough love) Did you try disarming the bomb?

        • While I don't know much about PS4s, I know unplugging some systems for a few mins does tend to do the trick with most weird electronics issues.

        • Lol I had a problem like this the other day with my Xbone. Pressed eject to get a disc out, waited to turn it off again but it started beeping (like it was rapidly turning off and on), I did a hard shutdown by holding power button which turned it off, it waited until I had put the disc in its case before the console turned itself on and started beeping again at which point I turned it off at the plug. Any wayas for yout problem. https://venturebeat.com/2015/12/14/is-your-playstation-4-randomly-ejecting-discs-heres-a-few-fixes/

            • Lol every other day there's a thread on here about issues with the PS4's shitty hardware. Luckily I've never had a problem with either my XB1 or PS4.

              • It's not an optimal fix (for obvious reasons) but this is what I did. Haven't had any problems since.
