Kirby: Star Allies Wave 3 update out now!

Spoiler warning; nothing story wise, but I do spoil some of the unlockable modes below. Bonjam everybody! Thisis Aifos coming to you alive from a hijacked Jambastion, where Papika & I are on the run from a trio of very angry mages! Papika: “Aifos, they’re catching up!” I told you, Papika, the Jambastion has to be powered by a person’s magic! Channel your energies into that core! *ahem* Anyway, Kirby: Star Allies has received the last of its free DLC, meaning it’s now in its complete form! I’ll be typing y’all up a short review once I play through everything, but for now, here’s a summary of everything in the game! The Dream Friends! Kirby: Star Allies features the largest cast of playable characters from any Kirby game, with every copy-able enemy being playable, and a representative from every major game appearing as a powerful Dream Friend! These Dream Friends are conjured from Kirby’s memory, using one of the fabled Dream Rods! Once you unlock a Dream Palace, you can use it to summon one once a level, and they stay with you until they die (and there’s 4 palaces, so that’s 4 Dream Friends per level!)! Bandana Waddle Dee
First appearing in Kirby Super Star Ultra, this guy has since become Kirby’s default P2, and that’s no different here! He uses a powerful spear to attack foes from a safe distance! He represents Kirby Super Star Ultra
King Dedede
The very first bad guy in Kirby, he has since redeemed himself, although he has a penchant for getting possessed by other villains. His hammer hits like a truck! He represents Kirby’s Dreamland.
Meta Knight
Though he and Kirby often clash, this mysterious knight is almost always fighting for the forces of good! Except that one time in Super Star! He and Kirby seem remarkably similar in appearance.. He uses the legendary sword, Galaxia, and his cape can transform into wings! He represents Kirby’s Adventure & its remake.
Marx
This cheery (and mentally unstable) jester once tried to take over Popstar with the power of the wish granting Galactic Nova! Unfortunately for him, Kirby ripped him in half. Painfully, judging from the sound of his scream. He has a plethora of reality warping magic powers to fight with! He represents Kirby Super Star.
Rick, Kine, & Coo
These three animal friends helped Kirby out back when he tried to fix the Rainbow Bridges. Ironic, given that it’s one of the few black & white Kirby games. The three of them work together as a single character, unleashing a devestating variety of attacks! They represent Kirby’s Dreamland 2.
Gooey
A mysteriously friendly blob of Dark Matter, before B. Waddle Dee came along, this guy was (briefly) Kirby’s P2, and has all the same abilities.. Not here, though. Here, he uses an assortment of attacks from his original game, sort of like Smash! He represents Kirby’s Dreamland 3!
Dark Meta Knight
This fiendish doppelgänger came straight from the Dimension Mirror, kidnapping the real Meta Knight, and trying to kill Kirby! His sword, Dark Galaxia, has all the powers of Galaxia, enhanced with the power of the Dimension Mirror! He represents Kirby & the Amazing Mirror.
Adeleine & Ribbon
How do you get a fairy into Kirby: Star Allies? You add a line! Adeleine is a girl with a magic paintbrush, and Ribbon is a fairy with a magic crystal! Together they attack with magic paintings, crystal bullets, and all around adorableness! They represent Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
Daroach
Leader of a thieving gang of mice, they learned the hard way that you never take Kirby’s cake. Ever. Daroach has a plethora of magical artifacts, sneaky bombs, and an army of henchmen, who are all ready to help him fight! He represents Kirby: Squeak Squad.
Magolor
Kirby’s old “friend”, sorcerer, and totally-not-a-backstabbing-jerk is here to help out! Hopefully! From energy blasts, to giant swords, to.. Massive spaceships!? Well, someone came prepared for a fight! He represents Kirby’s Return to Dreamland.
Taranza
The right hand man, and childhood sweetheart, to Queen Sectonia. Sure, he may have turned his beloved queen into a beauty-obsessed, murderous tyrant, but he had good intentions! Even helped stop his beloved, by helping Kirby kill her! He attacks with magical spider webs, magical energy blasts, and.. A shade of Queen Sectonia.. C’mon, man, time to move on. He represents Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
Susie
A secretary’s duties in the Haltmann Works Company include all your standard secretarial duties, in addition to being a space warlord. Though she tried to mechanize all of Popstar, in the end she was really just trying to save her dad from a giant evil robot. And she failed. Fun. She attacks with a laser gun, handheld transporter, and giant mech suit! Yay! Giant mech suits! She represents Kirby: Planet Robobot.
And then one secret unlockable one! Shh! The modes Story Mode
Play through the levels, and bosses as Kirby & up to 3 Friends, while you try to destroy the Jamba Hearts possessing your friends!
Star Allies Go!
Replace Kirby with a Friend, and go through the levels again, collecting Power Hearts along the way to up your stats! Dream Friends have their own unique levels, and I hear there’s a secret at the end..
The Final Choice
A boss gauntlet, with 8 levels of difficulty! Play as Kirby, or a Friend, and see if you can make to the end!
Heroes in Another Dimension
I haven’t played it yet, but I jnow the levels are supposedly harder, you’ve gotta collect Hearts, and Kirby can swap out with Dream Friends! Sounds fun!
Minigames
Eh, they’re okay..
Kirby: Star Allies is available on Nintendo Switch. It’s an absolute blast! I’d recommend it to anyone, but, if you aren’t sure, once I play all the new stuff, as I said I’ll be posting a review! But that’s all for now folks! Jambuhbye!
