Instead of 40 matches played the requirement should have been 20 wins or play 40 matches in total. Compared to the pinnacle weapon for the crucible the other quests are much easier. If the requirement was changed then the good players would be rewarded for there skill and the rest could still get the weapon thru persistence

They literally encourage afking and brainless mob farming. They could have made it 30 but wins count for 2 and losses for 1 to encourage people and this shit would never have happened but they do this shit and even I just give up if we lose the first match because I know my team is too shit to warrant trying.

1 ReplyI dont care if scrubs get it. I care that the 40 match participation trophy step encourages AFKing and bad gameplay
-
40 games in a season whilst doing milestones won’t take long why rush
-
1 Replya better goal would be banking motes. I would say since I average alittle over 50 motes per game, 2000 motes banked would be a better quest step. Good players who can get 80 or more in a game will complete faster while those who struggle can still eventually complete the quest. This all but eliminates the AFKers trying to cheese through the quest.
-
3 RepliesThis is where the community is so Fkn stupid, everyone rushing to complete everything, get max lvl ASAP, weapons quests are meant to take awhile, that feeling of finally getting it. Guess you all want everything just handed to you next time you go into tower.
-
Right now you need 40 completions and people are complaining that this promotes people going afk in matches to farm the completions. If it was changed to 20 wins, people would complain it’s too difficult or the game is made only for streamers. They should’ve just made it to where you need to kill a buttload of ads in Gambit.
-
1 ReplyThe 40 match grind is gonna be what takes the time. I’ve played 10 so far. I can only handle between 1-5 matches of Gambit per day otherwise the game mode becomes no longer fun to play.
-
The only problem with this quest is that Queen Breaker has no flinch.
-
I'm very impressed with people who already finished 40 matches. Got only 10 matches done and I feel I have enough lol
-
If you play with a group 20 wins makes sense. If you don’t 20 wins would be brutal.
-
Gambit sucks arseholes 40 matches is bad enough.
-
9 RepliesIt should double the bounty kills and 100 completions! This weapon is way too easy to get! A joke imo.
-
This last step sucks. Bout to join the afkers because I really don't wanna three round each and every match. Afking is a lot more enjoyable anyways and let's you focus on the other steps.
-
20 RepliesSome of you really enjoy creating unenjoyable grinds where the loot wasn't worth the effort just for the sake of high skilled players having a way to sit above the rest. Why? It's 40 Gambit matches. That's enough time spent in that one activity.
-
4 RepliesIt should have been 20 wins or nothing. The participation trophy nature of the quest ensures Gambit is just filled with AFK scumbags
-
Exactly. 2 points for wins, 1 point for loss is a merciful progression.
-
agreed, doing 40 matches took way too long and I had no incentive to try because wins didn’t matter, but if they did I would’ve grinded.
-
Too many games, people AFK just to get the matches complete, but I didn't expect anything else from bungie, they didn't lean with the Ace or malfeasance quest, everyone has a different agenda playing Gambit, very rare do you get a team that's on the same page, playing to win.... barley broken game at the moment
-
what blows my mind is bungie does nothing about it yet it's blatantly obvious and ruining the game for those who actually want to try and play their broken game
-
40 ROUNDS won would have been the best option without making the quest -blam!-ing annoying and/or promoting afk'ing and throwing games
-
I actually wish bungie would be more careful with their quest steps...they always seem to encourage you to not help your team and go for some specific aspect of a match and/or forget about trying to win...which also hurts your teammates
-
40 is a lot of matches. Especially if a game goes to 3. Those that got it in one day, wow.
-
6 RepliesWin should have counted as 2 points toward the bounty, and losing sets you back. oh boy, imagine the hate.
-
2 RepliesEdited by wikked75: 11/30/2018 11:14:09 AM20 wins is harder than 40 matches completed. No thanks. The 40 match grind is a bit excessive, but i like it better than wins. Not interested in “skill.” Just playing the game that much is really all you should have to endure.
-
hell -blam!-ing no

Vanguard one is just as slow.
