Cool concept. Fleshes out your character a little.
Currently in a Discord server comprised of what looks like 600~ people. It’s basically one big DND session. Trying to run an evil route but I can’t seem to find people for it.

Sorry I’m late! I was at work and only saw this after I had my lunch break. Here you go. https://discord.gg/MDYEnE If you’re looking to crew up with me, give me a DM. Otherwise, have fun!

I'm planning on the next entry being less... Exposition dumpy. I don't use discord, but in my experience most people seem to dislike Evil player characters. I can't really blame them since a lot of people try to play them like Murder Hobos or Cartoon Villains.

I can understand that position, but I’ve always been fond of playing the villain in roleplay— DND and otherwise— so I’ve had time to develop a few personality profiles that dodge the murder hobo concerns while still remaining interesting. My character is a Necromancer with the end goal of lichdom. She’s extremely narcissistic and self-serving, but she has the cunning to back up her ambitions and actions. She seeks to create a world of pure undeath in order to seat herself at its helm as a goddess, and sees the action of attaining lich status as the first stepping stone. Currently, my only allies are an Oathbreaker Undead Dragonborn and a Druid Lizardfolk. The former had his arms flayed to the bone with whips for defacing a holy artifact of Bahamut and was sealed inside of a soul gem for centuries before I released him. The later had her forest home torn apart by people who wanted to expand their city walls, and she took to the Necromancer’s vision of an undead world in her fit of rage.

Sounds fun! I also usually gravitate towards evil characters, but their goals are usually less grand. My 7 year old going on 200 Vampire Necromancer was just trying to get by and take care of her sick "father" (that was actually just a Zombie in rags). My Half Drow Bard was a spy on the surface trying to prove herself to her Noble family. And my Changeling was... actually just a bit crazy, to be honest. They couldn't empathize with others, felt running and hiding was a great way to get out of trouble, and also had a habit of killing people and stealing their identities. I liked them! I only got to play them for a heist one shot so I might come back to them at some point later.

The vampire one got me. Now I have to go to bed with feels. A villain doesn’t feel! See what you made me do?!?! Actually, I think the Christmas campaign I was a part of was part heist. My Dwarf Barbarian used alcoholic eggnog as a Molotov, then went crazy after a critical fail to search for more of the stuff and tore apart a workshop thinking they had hidden some in the walls. Regardless, I really hope to see some more of these. Just remember me if you ever try out Discord!
