Now Before I do anything, I want to state the reason I ask the Question "Nerf Sentinel" Instead of "Buff ______," so I can immediately clear up some confusion; If Bungie were to do anything to the Titan Meta to change the usage of Supers, What would they buff to make players state, "Yeah, I would use this over Sentinel,"? Personally, I think nothing; You have a super that can -
1. Block Any and All damage thrown at them while moving at a brisk walking pace that I like to call, "I need to get to work at 3:00 and it is 2:57;"
2. A Projectile that is wide, ricochets off of hard surfaces (Including my forehead), and tracks Players;
3. A Melee ability that, while standard to say the least, One-Hit-Kills Opposing Guardians while 2-Hit-Killing Any other Guardian In their super.
4. (optional) Give off A weapons of Light effect that helps out teammates, and is great for team-shooting.
Compare that to a super that throws hammers that can create a Nova-Bomb-esque explosion, A Hammer that you can slam into the ground to create a Fire-Tornado with standard melee's, A Bubble, A shoulder-Charging maniac who slams into the ground, and a one-time self-propelled missile; The answer, while definitely falling under [b]Personal Preference[/b], is more likely to be the super that is Captain America (most likely since It does what most of the others can, but better (That part is Debatable)).
Okay, now that is done and over with, What do we Nerf and why? In my opinion: the Damage you can block with your super. The Reason? It can completely nullify Nova Bomb, Other Hammers, Arc Strider, Golden Gun, Fist of Havoc, Other Sentinels, DawnBlade, Bullets (Well of Radiance), Shadow Shot (how?), Storm Caller, Chaos Reach, Spectral Blades, Nova Warp, and Thundercrash ( [b]Only if they land in front of the Banner Shield[/b],)
What does that mean? It counters [b]Every Super In the Game[/b]. Let that sink in; Every super, in the entire game, can be nullified by this one super, just by pressing and holding down the left bumper (or whatever you use); and this is excluding stuff like suppressor grenades.
Now, what do we Nerf? Make the damage resistance from Sentinel Shield only 50% (this is without counting the Super armor, so it stacks up), That way, Other Guardians can have a chance to use this super (It still has tracking shields and Weapons of Light and all that other good stuff, so don't worry, it is still viable, and still out-classes stuff like bubble.
Anyways tell me what you guys think; do I have any right to talk about titans and Nerfs, seeing as how i barely touch mine? Am I stupid and just a filthy millennial? I appreciate all Criticism.

I think blocking hits takes some of the super energy anyways. It takes three golden gun shots to take down a shield. Hammers goes down in one shot. That’s alot of damage. If you can’t block the damage with a shield, why use a shield in the first place? If you reduce the amount of damage it takes, then it’d have even less potential of being used. If you choose to thrown your super at a shield, that is your fault for wasting it. I’d say that allowing a percentage of the damage blocked to reach the wield makes more sense, but you already implemented a risk to it. Blocking wastes more energy and deflecting energy also wastes much more energy. No, I do not believe that you should nerf sentinel. I think you shouldn’t discourage someone from using one super over another, but you should encourage them to use other supers. By buffing the others. P. S: This was a great post. Rather a great subject for a post. Asking your players what to change, that is.

As a Sentinel Titan... Uh, if you nerf the block, you will without a single doubt destroy the entire super. Ward of Dawn is BARELY usable and the biggest redeeming factor of the shield is its basic survivability.

These small changes bungie could make to the other titan skill trees would help a lot: Sunbreaker: more consistent damage spread across the radius (aka, not dealing 1 damage at the edge but maybe 80 minimum). Increase sunbreaker duration by 2 seconds. Increase striker duration by 2 seconds. Buff aoe damage near the center (or at least make terminal velocity innate to striker as a whole). Decrease energy consumption on burning mauls spin and buff it's damage by 20%. Cover more distance while spinning. Increase thundercrash maximum velocity to continue throughout it's duration. Higher damage resistance. Literally any of these would dramatically improve the supers titans have. Also, I forgot to read the rest of your post: Vortex nova bomb destroys it, sunbreaker destroys it, arcstrider attacks faster so it can beat it, dawnblade can run while attacking, golden gun destroys the shield, fist of havoc can easily beat it, heavy weapons burn through it, chaos reach can destroy the normal sentinel, blade barrage can too. It's projectile is a single one that can be avoided by jumping as it has very little horizontal or vertical tracking other than when ricochetimg off of targets. It is incredibly weak against enemy supers, dealing only 91 damage. Sentinel is also one of the slower melee attack supers for attacking. It also has a fairly limited range. If they nerf sentinels block, better nerf arcstrider as well as it's "block" works the same. Literally the only real thing going for it is the block, as it's one of the single worst supers to use in a super v super without the shield because it's too slow and weak. I've never lost to a sentinel with sunbreaker or striker.
