Shards of Galanor Drop Rate
To the Guardians that have this exotic, how did you get it and during which event?
These exotics never seem to drop...oh wait this is D2.

Think I got mine from doing the ascendant challenge one of the weeks the shattered throne mission was available.

1 Replyi got my 1st one from the shattered throne after the ogre encounter....i got my 2nd one during the same mission against the witch....and i got my 3rd last week in gambit right after we killed the primeeveil after the 1st round....i was annoyed but then i got the trinity ghoul the round after....

7 RepliesIts all RNG mate. And the best chance at getting exotics is by doing ALL your milestones. 100K nightfall, gambit, crucible, raid and dailies. Dont leave any powerful engram bounty unturned. Exotics do drop, but majority of people refuse to do the activities linked to exotics. Most people just ignore the endgame activities and think farming 1 yellow bar enemy will magically drop exotics for them. Ive known countless people try. But farming 1 yellow bar for an exotic only nets about 1 exotic per week. I do all my milestones and ive gotten 5-6 exotics per week.

Haven't gotten that one in particular, but have been dropping new Exotics like crazy the past 2-3 weeks - I pop a Fireteam Medallion and run my Dailies, wrap up Weeklies or catch up on alts on Saturday, and spend most of my time running Tower and Planetary challenges/bounties and Spider's Wanted bounties. One thing I have noticed is that Exotics seem to drop in clusters for me - if I get one on my Strike Daily, I'll often get one from the Gambit and Crucible Dailies as well, or at least 2-3 more on that character while the Fireteam Medallion is active. Another thing I've noticed is that my drop rate seems to increase if I take a few days off - I've been traveling for work lately, so am not able to play most weekdays, and I've been getting anywhere from 3-8 Exotics on my Friday/Saturday sessions with very few dupes (as opposed to 1-3 per week if I play daily, with a higher dupe rate), including a pretty good haul this weekend - Suros and Karnstein (from Xur), Lion Rampant, One-Eyed Mask, Usra Furiosa, and Geomag in a 5-hour period. (I switched from PS4 to XB1 for Forsaken, so the Year 1 drops aren't dupes for me, just gear I'm still collecting.)

I got mine the first week of Forsaken from a yellow bar in a nightfall if I remember rightly 🤙🏻

Don't recall to be honest. I think it dropped from one of the vendors in the tower for doing a flash point.

I got it from blind well amazingly enough. Tier 3 or heroic, can't remember though.

3 RepliesGot shard of galanor on a random strike helping a friend farm vanguard token. Why ? Oh well he heard trinity ghoul had a good drop rate from Zavala reward. I still need to see if true, cause I dont believe this. Like not at all... Most of my exotics came from milestone and BlindWell. Except Lord of Wolves from spider bounty and quest exotics. Still have not seen a single meatball ever.

Majority of my exotics are coming from milestone awards Lord of Wolves and Queenbreaker from spider bounties also have Trinity and Twin tail again milestone awards

I'm not entirely positive how I got mine, but I think it may have been the exotic that dropped after killing an orange bar in the Chamber of Starlight lost sector in the dreaming city.
