Best Class for Whisper of the Worm
So I am trying to figure out the best class and light level to go after Whisper. My highest is my hunter, but I can't get through jumping puzzles with him.

3 arc striders is the best in my opinion.

I main a Titan, but I ran the jumping puzzle with an Arcstrider and it was pretty easy. I couldn't finish the mission but with a full FT, it doesn't seem like it would be too rough.

1. Whatever class you feel most comfortable with doing the jumping puzzle. I did mine with a Warlock. This is because how fast you clear the jumping puzzle is going to have the most impact on your overall success. 2. Pick the subclass that is best at clearing out adds. Warlocks (either Stormcaller or Nova Warp). Hunters (Arcstrider with Raiden Flux). Titan? I'd probably go with Sunbreaker.

9 RepliesTitans easiest to do jumping puzzle, arcstrider w raiden flux is great for ad clear, warlocks aren't good at anything in there Well, nova warp might be decent, but good luck getying a warlock through the jumping if you cant do it on hunter.

18 RepliesArcstrider with raider flux. Stompees to help with the jumping puzzle Polaris Lance and sleeper for the boss. Do NOT use your super on the boss, it does nothing. Use all your sleeper ammo on the boss then switch to Polaris, sit in the back and unload on the boss with your infinite ammo

Perfect team is 2 Hunter running staff and the exotic chest piece, and a melting point Titan= easy mode

2 RepliesSo there are 2 parts Jumping Fighting You can always practice the jumping on your own I jump more accurately with my hunter but faster with Titan Now the hunter does better in the end fight with tether or radiant flux Now I would imagine thunderlord with mobs would do well with its chain lightening Good luck

I can fly down the hatch within a few minutes as a Titan. It all depends how comfortable you are with the class. On another note, I wonder how absurd Commander Shield or Chaos Reach are against the three stooges. Also Thunderlord.

Arc strider all day. Clear entire rooms. You can solo heroic with strider.

3 RepliesEdited by insp1red1: 11/26/2018 2:29:19 AMI used my Hunter last night (Solar). Got Whisper of the Worm after 3 attempts and the Catalyst (Heroic) after 1 attempt. Max out agility or use Warlock to glide over some parts. Also, for this mission use Telesto, it wrecks the ads and void shields.

Have enough mixed reports yet? Any class is fine. Any subclass is fine. Just make sure to coordinate with your team to have a solid plan. You will need major crowd control capability, High boss damage, and a way to stay alive while under constant and unrelenting fire.

I had the fastest time using my titan due to all the possible skips

Warlock 100% Just have a practice with Balanced Glide and minimum 5 mobility. You can hover gently in mid-air and land like a feather. Always jump up first, never level or downwards because you can't gain height with Warlock after your initial burst. Seriously though Warlock jump is absolute easy street. That's why I use it. Also if you get to the point where you're doing the chest/oracle runs for the catalyst you can cut out a chunk of the green-wall jump section easily with Warlock.
