Glimmer - Is it useless end-game?
I just started playing a few weeks ago and just hit the Glimmer cap. I see some old guides mention to: (1) buy random blue weapon mods from Banshee-44 to later turn into Legendary ones to upgrade equipment; and (2) buy treasure maps from Cayde-6. Well, Cayde-6 is gone and Banshee-44 doesn't look like he sells random weapons mods anymore either! This cap message I see in game annoys the heck out of me, and I can't find anything worth buying! Am I missing something (like a level threshold), or did Bungie make Glimmer useless? I know I can buy from Amanda H., but I don't want anything she sells.

All of my glimmer always went into buying mods from banshee. That’s not a thing anymore, so I’m almost always capped unless I buy a bunch of shit from Spider.

Glimmer is always usefull. Infusion materials. Raid flags. Collection re buy.

It was useless in Y1 end game. Now I use it for purchasing materials from spider, getting things from collections, all types of stuff.

1 ReplyIn the endgame you will use glimmer for two things: masterworking and infusing. Spider sells legendary shards and planetary materials for glimmer sometimes.
