I just finished Red Dead 2 and I’m having a hard time deciding which to play first.

2 RepliesI've played a bit of both, and they're both good in their own right. You'd like Prey if you're a fan of suspense thrillers in space. It's kinda like Dead Space really. And Subnatica will make you hate the deep ocean. Not kidding.

Haven't played subnautica, but prey was pretty awesome.

My vote is for Prey. IMO, it is one of the most overlooked games to have been released this generation. Everyone was busy obsessing over what it wasn't and missed what it is. Although buggy at launch, all of the issues have since been patched. I highly recommend it.

Subnautica is awesome. Once you get a base going and store some supplies, it's all exploration and documentation. It feels really satisfying finding blueprints for things like the Moon Pool and the Seamoth. My first Cyclops I made really gave me a sense of accomplishment.

Subnautica without a doubt. Prey seemed to be the long kind of tedious boring. I didnt play the game, but I saw multiple reviewers year it apart (and no, not IGN or people like them). Subnautica on the other hand, literally every other action you do is outta fear. You’re in an alien ocean surrounded by pitch black water and alien creatures. We barely know anything about our own oceans! I’ve played Subnautica since May 2016, and I’ve freaking loved it. Heavily recommend it.

Both, but Prey first

I've not played Subnautica, but I have played Prey and it was... alright. You'll definitely be able to enjoy it, and it's probably a good game at heart, but it has a number of flaws that hold it back.

Haven't played Subnautica, but Prey is really good, with interesting abilities, kind of half-open, structured but with 'holes, shortcuts, "treasures"' where you can go, depends if you"re strong, techie, or a coffee cup. Sub is prolly a traditional survival game, with a different twist being a waterworld, you know, go where-ever, gathering resources gsme... so, you wanna do underwater or space?

I struggled to get to grips with prey but by the end of the game I was impressed, I just found the gameplay hard to really get a handle on.

2 RepliesI haven’t played Subnautica but Prey is really good. It’s not as good as the Dishonored games though (Arcane studios previous games). I would recommend Dishonored 2 over Prey.

Edited by GTLargo21: 11/23/2018 8:58:16 PMPrey is awesome. They got a free update within the past year I need to try though.

1 ReplyEdited by Capt Explodabob: 11/23/2018 7:30:47 PMPrey. They're both similar experiences, though Prey's arguably better written and offers more in terms of gameplay. Actually, disregard all of that bullshit, I confused Subnautica with Soma. Play whichever game you think has the better looking cover.
