From someone who used to live in the crucible.
As someone who has lunas howl and has loved the crucible. It was hands down my favorite game to play. I'm sad to say I hate playing pvp right now. Shotguns are completely broken to the point that if you dont have dusk rock blues with a ranged master work you are at a disadvantage,since that is a random drop it sucks. I feel like the game is far to rewarding of cheap tactics like shotgun rushing, telesto etc. This honestly makes my Luna feel underwhelming...theres no real point to using it because of the current meta. These are problems that I feel need to be fixed: Shotguns range (please do this!), Blade barrage, tetlesto, and just balancing(more frequently).
Playing crucible used to be my favorite thing in video games period...now I hate playing it. This is all just my opinion but because of how cheap the tactics are and makes you feel forced to play cheap to win I'm quitting crucible until there's a change.

For me, Luna's and Not Forgotten have ruined crucible. I'm so sick of getting two tapped by those stupid guns. At least shotguns require being relatively close to melt you. I'll take all the shotguns up my ass over facing another try hard team of Luna's. Of course, that's me. Your experience may differ.

I have said about shotguns since d1 it's stupid to have the highest impact with the longest range... If I choose anything else then I have to be much much closer then them... It's backwards... High impact should need to be closer. Low impact should have range... After all low impact is that it won't map you! It will give the high impact guy time to close into his range. The offset and balance is I need 2 shots and waist all my special... And they need to get closer and risk dying....

I enjoyed the crucible until recently, when matchmaking decided to match make me with everybody in the world except people in my own country, the USA. Nothing against other countries, but the distance between the players creates an environment of lag where gun fights are determined more by the roll of the dice than anything else. For now, I’ll play other games, and if I come back, hopefully I won’t get vertigo due to the horrendously bad frame rate of D2.

Same. I put in so many hours (on another account) and now I simply hate it. I guess I’m a scrub and need to git good. Problem is - why would I want to get good at something that SUCKS.

I used to love crucible, but I have more issues with the match-making than the meta.

How could you live in the Crucible? I could never put up with living in a noise neighborhood.

I only use my shotgun defensively and use my hc as a primary and I have no issues and I love the meta you should adapt instead of whining

They seem like a problem because we're playing on maps designed for 4v4. If they scaled the maps to compensate for extra 4 players in a match it wouldn't seem so bad.

I play also often crucible and I'm doing fine with againsr shotguns with easly staying out of range.

Ya there definitely needs to be more balancing done... Like every other week... There are more then enough people playing and more then enough data to know what needs to be tweaked... Hell I'm sure if they wanted they could do weekly updates.

1 ReplyI fought back a not forgotten/dusk rock blues user with Ace and twilight oath. It was a hell of a dance. It was him and I against each other all game. Those moments I love in crucible. Don't rush corners. Hunters love to jump and slide with dusk rock.... ....so you bait them and snipe them as they pop out XD
