EDIT: Lol, nvm I got the Luna’s Howl!!!
You know, when I buy a game for $50 let alone another $40 on top of that for dlcs I expect to have a fun experience in all aspects of the game. PvE is bearable, ill give that to Bungie after they screwed up for the first entire year the D2 came out. So at least they fixed that, but the other half of the game is unbearable. And yes i'm talking about match making in the crucible (specifically competitive). Now, when it's a free for all and just for fun and games, I wouldn't care as much for the s****y teammates and extreme separation in skill level between opposing teams. But when the only way to get one of the best legendaries in the game is to get 2100 points in comp (requiring a very high skill level **24/7 at least 3 times a week) it creates a barrier between those who want to invest that much time into the game to get it and those who literally don't have a enough time because of real life things. On top of the amount of skill you need to acquire from repetitive crucible matches (basically taking away all of the fun away from it), absolutely horrible matching making is added on top of the heaping pile of dog s***t (sorry for there language but this is the only way to get across the annoyance i'm undergoing because of this issue) .
What's the issue with matchmaking? hmmmm...
1. The first issue is that there seems to be no rule of matching people with the same skill (or at least level and some sort of experience tracker **glory points) which is resultant in a completely lopsided game. Ultra experienced players vs. let me just say not so experienced players.
2. This goes along with the 1st point, when solo queuing in comp, you would expect to be qued up with other solo players in equal glory level as yourself. But this obviously doesn't matter to Bungie because they've left issue stagnant since launch. I'm literally put up against players that have not forgotten and lunas howl almost every other match. Giving me an absolutely 0% chance of winning.
3. 4 stacks, when I paid $90 for this game and all of this contents, I didn't know I would need to have a whole community of online friends and maintain a relationship with them. This also applies to the raid. And when the majority of the community is either adults or teenagers in their late years, it creates an age segregation. Those who are older have a greater chance of success in the raid and Comp. where most of the end game loot is.
4. When people are selling lunas howl and not forgotten on ebay for $450, I think thats a red flag. It means the weapon is too hard to obtain.
The point i'm trying to get at here is that for those who bought the game and its contents for a premium, grinding for 100s of hours for a dumb gun is ridiculous and is technically a portion of that content that I paid for but cant get because of a skill gap and time played. It's like paying for a cake but having to run a marathon to get it (if you can make it). That's different from paying for a cake but instead riding a jet ski (having fun) to get it. I hope this all made sense and is considered in Bungies decision making process for Competitive Crucible in the future.
