Hey everyone,
I realize that Bungie will probably mention this, this week, in their TWAB (tomorrow) BUT a lot of YouTubers are click-baiting/promoting preparing for a bump in power by hoarding completed Powerful Gear bounties, for example.
They say that we ALWAYS get a bump when Bungie drops an "Expansion" but what we're getting on December 4 is not an expansion. It's DLC without new story content. I seriously do not think we're going to see the Power Cap go above 600.
DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS, FOR SURE?
update: poster x ShadowsBane x says Anon the 9 leaked it would be a bump of 50 so that's probably correct (to cover encounter with new Raid Lair boss). Anon's in hot water for leaking and has now removed all social media statements linked to the game. He's been right about pretty much everything else over the past several months. AND SOUNDS LIKE NO TWAB FROM BUNGIE UNTIL NOV. 30 DUE TO HOLIDAYS--we get a DLC *Reveal* then supposedly.)
~ thanks (follow Bungie on Twitter for possible updates: https://twitter.com/Bungie )

Every expansion will have a power level increase. I dont care about hoarding powerful engram bounties because I only play Destiny for leveling and loot. But if someone is at say 593, they might not want to burn through their cores infusing.

4 RepliesWe're getting a preview of all 3 annual pass dlc's in next weeks vidoc. Im sure we'll find out more about any power level increase at that time. The Anon leaker said it would be a 50 power level increase and he was right about most things, so...

Nothing is confirmed. People assume it will be bumped up but nobody official has said that. To my knowledge anon has NOT leaked a light raise- that was just a rumor. That said, if anyone can point me to a source where he does say that, I'll change my tune.

Rumors say’s it’ll go up to 650. It would make sense somehow.

5 Repliesthey arent revealing anything until Nov. 30th, there probably wont be a TWAB this week due to the holiday
-
I doubt they wouldn't. They have raised the cap in every dlc and I'm sure they'll do it again.

2 RepliesEdited by W33DEDPLAGUE: 11/21/2018 9:45:43 PMWe are getting a raid lair though so who knows...I'm betting it's a small increase...and soooooo many players seem to base their interest in the game off of grinding that stupid useless number so im sure bungie wants to use it as a carrot

1 ReplyWe have no information on the content that is what two weeks out? Amazing isn't it. Best guess is that it will go up a good little bit. Back to blues. Oh and with the economy of the game and us having no materials to infuse items we will be staying in those blue items for a while. Damn funny Many of us are stuck in blue gear or some mismatched disaster armor through 80% of our time playing the game now. Man that makes it sooooooo much better.

Expect a 30-50 light increase. Just enough so that it locks out players who dont have the DLC.
-
5 RepliesI bet it goes up.

No, nothing has been confirmed, otherwise the streamers would be saying that instead of making baseless assumptions.
