Make the Season 5 comp weapon a sniper
Snipers are so widely underused that it’s a joke. I’d love to have something really good that isn’t a shotgun for once.

A comp sniper that has what people would consider a godroll in D1 would be perfect. It would switch up the meta a bit and give a reason to use something that isn’t a shotgun. There are only a couple sniper in the game that come with Snapshot or quick draw and none of them have both without RNG. A sniper with guaranteed godly perks is a great incentive for snipers to play comp. You could even make the steps sniper related.
Examples: Get headshots will snipers, Get a kill on an enemy after you or a fire team member damage that enemy with a sniper, Etc. A Reward that could could be given during one of the quest steps is a helmet with enhanced unflinching sniper aim. Or there could be a full set of armor with sniper related perks that you get per quest step.
What do you guys think? If you have any other ideas for possible quest steps or even an entirely different comp weapon for Season 5 in mind feel free to leave your ideas down below!
Edit: So the season 5 weapon is a grenade launcher. Bungie please can we make this happen for Season 6.

I would like to see that. I was not enthusiastic about Luna’s after learning it was a precision frame. I just don’t like that recoil feedback and I know that may confuse a lot of people. Imo it should have been a lightweight frame. Hoping for that in the future.

True question for a sniper player, has anyone built an entire armor build with the best synergy for a sniper? With enhanced perks? I just ask to see if players are truly getting into builds, or just hoping they “feel” better. With enhanced targeting, enhanced unflinching, and enhanced reloading... one would think that bungie has all of this in mind for the game. I know I have seen said perks tested and do make a difference. I did a build for my hand cannons and it does make a pretty big difference.

You know what? I would've liked a sniper that has IRON sights as a pinnacle reward. Same as any other sniper. Only without that pesky zoom.

Snipers arent even close in the overall meta in D2. I think stats wise, grenade launchers may actually be more popular

Why when they can make it a grenade launcher and ruin it. I swear to go whomever is charge of PvP there secretly works for EA and are sabotaging this game. Here for season 5 a heavy gun as heavy ammo already spawns way too. PvP is broken grenade launcher grind makes It that much worse

How about a sniper that picks up ammo from people you killed from a distance? I haven’t watched the video yet in case that’s an idea.
