I’m not knocking the game at all. I’m being serious. I’m a day one destiny 1 player have played up til now but it seems like bungie doesn’t care anymore.
Exhibit A: haven’t heard from the sandbox team in months and matchmaking has been terrible since launch of forsaken and there’s been plenty of player feedback since then
Exhibit B: drop rates are terrible only do the weekly in hopes of getting an exotic I don’t have seems a little too rare for exotic drops and bungie said they tweaked exotic duplicates but drop rates weren’t even this bad in d1
Exhibit C: Xur has been rendered useless no longer sells three of coins fated engrams are a waste and your main player base has no reason to interact with him
Exhibit D: Strikes are pointless and all loot is locked behind nightfalls terrible endgame mentality because it’s become super repetitive and not that rewarding
Gambit is ok but is super frustrating and has matchmaking problems as well.
The huge issue here is I don’t feel like I’m progressing anymore in gear light level nothing it’s become another pointless shooter and that’s not really what kept players hooked.
I love this game but it’s really started to lose its luster and yea I know black armory is coming but there’s so much they need to fix still and bungie doesn’t seem like it’s trending in the right direction at the moment.
Let me know your thoughts guys
Edit: Loving the feed back guys. I’m glad there’s people on both sides of this

1 ReplyI still have fun when I play Destiny 2, but only because I treat this game as a generic alien shooter. The important side of the game is a complete mess, and I have absolutely no belief that Bungie will ever make this franchise as amazing as it should be. Destiny 2 is my last stop, and I hope someone in the future makes a much better first person loot based alien shooter.

I haven't played in two weeks im just waiting for somthing to happen im going to try playing tuesday

I’m happy with most everything in the current state except the severe lack of loot. They could have put year 2 gear in so many extra places. Added new EP gear, blind well gear, planet gear, strike gear for each strike. It’s a looter shooter but I feel there isn’t very much loot in the game. Eververse crap doesn’t count to me.
-
Completely agree. The state of the game is in disarray on many fronts and many players are realizing it will literally never be fixed.

3 RepliesI feel you but you have to lose the illusion bungie places over our eyes and look at the game in its reality. We’re so used to crap expansions that a halfhearted one comes out (forsaken) and people jumped right back on the bandwagon of oh destiny is back..it’s not. We’ve been playing the same game going on 5 years now and very little has changed 😂. They keep bringing back old content and we’ve become so accepting of this lazy effort now so it’s partially our fault. I still love the game, I want it to be great and reach its full potential, but the reality is that potential isn’t as high as bungie thought it would be. Great gameplay laced between the fabrics of complacency and mediocrity. We’re always counting on THE NEXT DLC , and he next ...this is the core issue.

What lustre? It's become straight copy/paste d1 content. I won't be buying anymore destiny games.

17 RepliesI agree. Lack of customization, rewards, quests (No I hate Luna’s quest and others). There is nothing to chase. After like 2 weeks, I basically had my entire Armor collection full. The Raid and Trials were all that were either not filled at all or had some filled in. The Raids in D2 are so unappealing and boring and Trials is still cancer. I stopped playing entirely now. I’m just gonna log on Thursday and try to get an Exotic. The game just feels bland. I don’t enjoy it as much as I used to.

All things have a pinnacle... except you know, infinity. Point is: there will be a point when something reaches its best.

I’m going on a month vacation today..when I get back I hope the game is awesome again..I played D-1 since launched and went through the growing pains of it..purposely waiting until a month before forsaken dropped to play destiny 2. So far I enjoyed it..despite using exotic weapons I used and abused in the first destiny.

Matches in PvP and gambit rarely ever are close in result. Decisive win loss. Snoozing or sweating. That’s really killing it for me.
-
2 RepliesNope it's become monotonous, same milestones, strikes, adventures from week to week. Nothing new, once you have done it why do it over and over
-
2 RepliesThe loot sucks, there’s not that many weapons, gear, perks. No way to really farm what you want and most the content isn’t fun to do.
-
2 RepliesIn 5 weeks, I have received no Exotic and almost playing daily. Exotic drop is appalling.
-
It’s not just you, there are plenty of long haul players that don’t like Forsaken.
-
Matchmaking killed the experience for the vast majority of my non hardcore friends. Once pve experience is finished players naturally gravitate toward pvp. Except this time they aren’t.
-
I’ve been feeling the same it’s a real shame but whenever I try to discuss a problem everyone tells me to get over it or play around it 🤷♂️

7 RepliesIt's not the game. It's the lack of communication and transparency from the Dev. They address the dumb shit and ignore the HUGE issues... They have done this since day 1. They take forever to fix and/or update, and always break at least one thing when fixing another. They lie yet insist they don't... Even when caught dead to rights. Their management; or should I say lack thereof, is to blame.

1 ReplyDoing milestones every week for legendary shards is getting old.

4 RepliesThere just hasn’t really been a “wow” moment for me in D2 to really hook me into the game. I ran Vog the first time as a level 28 with a blue rocket launcher, and I loved it. It was a blast, full of tough content that was rewarding. There just hasn’t been anything like that in D2. All of the raids are frustrating, with their heavy reliance on puzzles and teammates. PVP has really gone downhill IMO, and everything is just kinda D1, but worse.

I totally agree with you,so much pointless grinding now

Edited by Zioting: 11/21/2018 8:10:06 PMDestiny has hit saturation after 4 yrs. There's no one who hasn't heard about Destiny by now, lots of it bad. YouTube channels views have dropped, twitch viewership has tanked, subs lost forever, Bungie have pulled the same stuff nonstop and it's mundane. The game had magic, you never knew what might happen, or drop, we were promised a 10yr journey. But the same issues have plagued it, namely nowhere near enough loot (making content is hard apparently), and horrendous connection issues, along with bugs, glitches, mistakes, n downright mind-blowingly stupid decisions, have killed people's hunger. Black armoury is 2 weeks away, and they've officially told us almost nothing. But we know what's coming. Another failed forge horde prison court well event, a power raise, a few new exotics, a few old exotics, a few quests sending you into strikes, lost sectors n crucible, and a few new guns, prob 1 from each type. Next year another fall expansion, another annual pass, then scrap everything with the promise of amazing D3 on PS5. It's just not exciting anymore and we're sick of the BS.

Let me know your thoughts guys[/quote] This is not a criticism, I get where your coming from but here is my response ; Exhibit A; there was a huge sandbox change on launch of forsaken. It been out 11 weeks and it's taken me that long to get this seasons pinnicle weapons. Matchmaking is definetly off but not massively. Exhibit B; drop rates are difficult to comment on. You may have bad rng others don't. They need to make it more consistent for all players. I hate that my friends who play very little get god roles and exotics coming out their butts. Exhibit C; xur is not useless to new players. Never forget that. Exhibit D; strikes imo are not useless at all. Good for the weekly, good for catalyst drops. Good for bounties (for ikora reward etc.) and they do drop exotics both in world and from the chests (just not often)

I really liked forsaken but now I’m tired of grinding for the same thing week after week after week . I need more content at this point . It would be nice if destiny gave a little something every now and then besides vestian dynasty and edge transits . Spent 4 weeks hunting for the starlight shell and queensbreaker and nope nothing nada .. That’s pretty painful . All the exotics I’ve gotten have been year 1 bs . That shit needs to be pulled out of the loot pool and put into xurs inventory . It’s bs getting that yellow to drop them seeing another aeon gauntlets . It’s disheartening and really ruins the game for everyone .
-
Yep I lost interest in it after a few weeks and it still never got me back. I still play it because I was dumb enough to waste money but yeah I'd rather play the first one tbh
-
I was enjoying it a lot until recently, I still have stuff to do in the game but I don't feel like I can clear any of it.

1 ReplyThey need more engaging content. Small amount of guns that they added, a third of which were year 1 weapons. Need more new guns. Better looking armor. I hate how ugly my titan looks. Better weapons in general. Auto rifles shouldn't have such stupid recoil etc. New enemies that aren't just re-skins. This is seriously getting old. The scorn are just fallen with hats. I like screebs though. More content with each release. The game wastes your time and artificially stretches out the content by making stupid content that's either "too high of a light," in which case it basically becomes a cake walk after you get leveled enough. More unique weapons. Should probably keep this more with the other one, but I mean like with blind well. It not having specific loot makes it fairly boring to complete. Remove bounty restricted weapons. I absolutely hate spiders bounties. Not because of what they ask me to do, but because of the gear locked behind them. I want a good ether doctor damn it, but I've gotta pray it drops even ONCE thus week. That's not fun. I don't think having weapons tied to him like a vendor is bad, but having limited bounties only grant a chance of the gear I want, which also isn't separate from the ugly scatterhorn gear. More interesting immediate story. I have no idea why bungie can't get a group together to comprehensively tell a story. Curse of osiris was worthless, warmind was worthless and was completely thrown out from the pretext of forsaken. Forsaken's story is also laughable as it doesn't give you any critical information from the first game without "reading the lore" which is convoluted and usually just a bunch of bullshit that doesn't actually matter. Why did they kill cayde when he didn't offer anything to the actual story? He wasn't given HALF as much time as he needed to be considered a character I care about. That 1 mission he stars in is a good example, but it's where he just dies. So basically the only thing I remember him for is his stupid quips. Too much inconsistent writing which requires you to read the lore to understand ISN'T a good story. I don't care about brain dead Activision fan boys who are here only to shoot shit, they try to sell this game as if it has a story but it never fully tells you what it is or why you should care. That's enough for the eyes.
