So i've already posted this question somewhere, but how does this ult work? Every source i look at mentions a 35% damage increase, and i see that in-game, but that alone would make for an incredibly bad ultimate. I tried the lower tree, which claims that shooting a tethered target deals big damage, but it's still less than 1 golden gun shot. I've seen clips of people seemingly shooting one target and the damage from it transitioning to the others, but i couldn' replicate that in-game. What even is this ability and how am i supposed to use it?

Super. Not Ult.
-
Bottom tree means shooting a tethered enemy with tether deals more dmg
-
It's primarily used to clear out smaller enemies. Pop it in the middle of a group while using the top tree and you'll damage all tethered targets by only shooting one. It makes very quick work of dense crowds especially when paired with a rocket or grenade launcher. I wouldn't recommend using ghis to deal more damage to a boss because it only buffs damge for primary guns like autos, scouts, etc. If you find you have the orpheus rig exotic boots this super because ten times better then it is normally. With the boots you get super energy in return for just tethering targets. So if you tether enough, which is very easy to do, you'll have your super right back for the next group that may be right after the first one. Hope this clears up any confusion you may have had.

I use the top tree (Trapper). You get one tether. All enemies that are tethered explode when you kill one of them. I believe thats the damage transfer you're talking about. Someome else may can help clarify on the bottom tree. I believe when you tether enemies with that one, they are debuffed and take more damage, but I never use it, so i dont know for sure. Also, maybe YouTube a guide. I know they're out there.

you shoot at egamer in their super and its bye bye to their super
-
I used the orpheos rig exotic leg armor they give you deadfall and quiver I use the top tree tho for Gambit and strikes it's like an infinite super tethered targets give you super energy
-
the invisibility is REALLY handy at times in PVE (reviving in open areas etc). as said its only really that good with the orpheus and its a support class - but a very handy one. i love having someone good with it on pve as it helps you melt baddies quick and get lots of supers. the middle tree (new one) is good for pvp and fun to use in general and does a fair bit of boss damage
-
It harnesses void energy from the realm of bungo. In the bungo realm things are broken and balance is a myth. That energy causes supers to break and not work.
-
It's honestly just good for taking care of hordes of adds and providing orbs for your teammates. Other than that it's a useless super.
-
It doesn’t work
-
Orpheus rig top tree for orbs for support. That's basically it for PvE. But it is very good there.
-
7 RepliesGet yourself the Orpheus rigs and run top tree. It might be the single best PVE combo ever. Infinite supers, orb creation, etc. tether a big group of enemies, Ross a grenade in and watch them bounce and share damage and melt almost immediately 😂 The super is complete Garbo in PVP though. It takes an eternity to proc and is generally worse then one suppression grenade, but it’s neutral game is pretty sweet!

While its damage capable its more an ability supression super, its quite useful in that it prevents ability use for both pvp and pve targets. Blood Bound works intrinsically for all tethers Top tree lasts longer and tethers at longer ranges Bottom tree can shoot more tethers but they have shorter range and duration. reshooting an already tethered enemy does extra damage Shooting a target that is tethered will share damage across all the tethered targets. Orpheus rig boots - way of the trapper returns energy for each tethered enemies - way of the pathfinder gives you more moebius quiver shots

[quote]So i've already posted this question somewhere, but how does this ult work? All I know that yellow numbers are best numbers.

It doesn’t
-
Shot five arrows in the sky and go back to using your guns which deal actuall damage .
-
2 RepliesSo basically, the whole subclass is only a viable option in group activities? Kinda like the Forsaken version of Dawnblade?
-
Shadow shot is an aoe debuff. Any enemies tethered will be slowed, suppressed, take more damage, explode on death, and share damage. Note it does not enhance power weapon damage.
-
I got multiple clips (have to pull the, out from Xbox tho, because it’s annoying like that), but they all show that tether does not function as intended. One of them is someone activating blade barrage in response to my tether shooting and tagging him.

5 RepliesTethers are most affective, damage wise, if used with weapons. Bottom tree will cause damage when repeatedly hitting the targets top tree is basically your anchor. As squishy as it is, enemies will walk right out of it. Shadowshot is a great approach to solo play because you can corral the enemies nicely. Accompanied with Orpheus Rigs, a solo player can keep control of the situation. This is of course loosing out on some damage capabilities. OR will replenish your super quite rapidly if the placement of your Tethers are on target. Try for the yellow bar boss’ and a few red bar adds. If you need it for all red bars, you will need to tether about 10 of them but you should get most if not all your super back. Shadowshot is not your PvP class for the Hunter, not that some aren’t good with it but it is underwhelming. Except during Mayhem, than it is just wrong.
