Respawn Algorithm is -blam!-
By the time it’s worked out where to respawn you it’s too bloody late! Sweaty qunts just play the spawn points, which is ridiculous for small maps and 6v6.

They originally designed the maps for 4v4 games. Since they have now gone back to a 6v6 format, the already bad maps have gotten even worse.

I’d rather be spawned in orbit above the match with an ion cannon satellite pointed right at it. And a nice big shiny red button. Just for spite.

1 ReplyThey need a spawn like in Overwatch where the other team can't get in. If they try to camp it we should be able to shoot through the barrier at them (not sure of this is actually possible in Overwatch though).

I kind of think they do it on purpose as part of a mechanic to get you to loose, to be honest. I mean I can't tell you how many times I've been spawned only feet away from half the enemy team only to get mowed down seconds later. Camping spawn points has little to do with it, it's just crappy spawns in general.

3 Repliesexactly why they should have never caved and changed crucible to 6v6. I don't have an issue with 6v6 and I also enjoyed the 4v4 but the map size right now is way to small for 6v6. While having a small map everything now and then is quite fun for 6v6 when every map is super small it makes it a pain. Its getting better it seems though as some of the newer and returning maps get added.

This was less of a problem in D1 because we had the option of pressing square to respawn. So we had the option of respawning right away or waiting a few seconds. Currently we just get thrown in as soon as possible. Which is why you sometimes gets thrown in right in front of someone who just killed you.

1 ReplyI know this is about pvp but pve respawns can be so annoying, putting you miles away from where you were. Respawns across the entire game are pretty bad imo.

It is unfortunate to get spawned in next to an enemy. It’s an ultimate feels bad to get killed twice in a row by the same super. It sucks holding down a spot and shooting enemies only to get shot in the back because apparently they are now spawning 10 feet behind you. And whoever the frick thought Gambler’s Ruin was a good map for 6v6, I’d kindly like to slap in the face with a metal glove.

1 ReplyAs soon as D2 dropped every third complaint on the forums was about bringing back 6v6 in PvP. Bungie even said the maps were developed with 4v4 in mind but the complaints persisted. So they made it 6v6 without adding larger maps. Sometimes you get want you ask for.

Nothing like getting killed by an arcstrider who just killed you as you respawn before your controls even start to respond. There should be some sort of achievement for that.
