So, id say im pretty good player in pvp, i reached mythic last season and I'm legend in the current season, and I've spent around 400h in the crucible (an estimation, I couldn't bother to check). With all that, I have a pretty good understanding of the game, but I am not a god by any means.
So I heard i lot of people complaining about solo queuing in competitive, and as someone who always plays with a full team, I've never experienced the stuff people complain about.
But as you all may know, Destiny 2 is free currently, so i took the chance to try solo queuing on a free account, and these are the results:
First of all, the only pve i played was the missions on earth and i was around level 8 when i went into competitive.
I reached fabled i 2 days (around 9h playtime). I used a green hand cannon, stubborn oak/botherian and loads of different heavy weapons. I used dawnblade with attainment of flame, and no exotics. My best win streak was 24.
However, I'm done yet. I made a second account just to make sure that I didn't just get easy games, and it took me around as much time as the first account, and I basically used the same loadout. Both accounts have 2kd in competitive.
As a conclusion, solo queuing in competitive is very do able. Yes, I ecountered "leavers" and "noobs" but if you are good enough you can still climb. Just have a good attitude, because the more you tilt, the worse you play.
