Paid for a recovery and got banned
I paid for a recovery to get the rest of my glory points and the person who did my account got my account banned permanently in crucible I did nothing wrong and I lost my favorite part of the game what can I do to get it back

i got banned after a guy did a recov on my acc. i HAD 1.1K hours on it and i bought all dlcs, i explained averything in the appeal, i showed screenshots of the dms and i still got denied. its been 2 months or something. im honestly just sad at this point. plz help. plz make them listen.

Thank you for posting this up, as someone who grinds it out vs the sweats in comp, I'm so so so glad you got banned. People like you make it a hell for everyone else doing it legitimately. This is exactly what you deserve and are lucky that they didn't ban you from the entire game. Thanks!

I played against your account and we got DDOSed. I reported your account after the game was over and checked Guardian.gg. There was a consistent pattern of players dropping on the other team. It was awful and shut down our home internet for all four of us. I have zero sympathy.

Did nothing wrong? Is this a satire post? Recoveries are against the rules bro...you have to earn that stuff yourself...but thanks for confirming that Bungie is actually paying attention to cheaters

2 RepliesI believe that letting someone else use your account isn't acceptable. They probably DDOS the crap out of other players. However, Bungie doesn't know if it was you or the guy you paid to do it. I hope it was worth the money.

This one's on you, you picked the wrong person for the recovery and that is not Bungie's fault.

Only thing you can do is be grateful it was only your Bungie account that was banned. Paid recoveries violate Sony's user agreement which means you could've lost your PS4 account as well. Take this as a hard lesson; never pay for a recovery. People who do pvp recoveries often use methods that get the job done asap, and since it's not their account they can use any methods they please while the owner pays the price. Often enough, this results in players like you getting banned because even though it "wasn't your fault" it was you who broke the terms of service agreement, your account used to cheat, and you paid the recovery team who used your account to ruin everyone else's matches.
