11 RepliesI'm gay, but I dislike the pride movement so I'll answer to that here. -I don't like the flamboyancey that is the norm with that realm of things. The "my personality is gay" type people. -I do not believe that one should be coddled or otherwise based on any trait; race sexuality, gender, whatever. I believe the modern pride movement wants that. -There is pretty rampant biphobia within there, as well from what I've seen. -I have only met one outwardly homophobic person in my life so far, I can't really connect with the "struggles" of other gay/bi people. I get coming out can be pretty tough to do, but that's about it, other than the limited dating pool due to being such an extreme minority. -I honestly think that the pride movement is unnecessary in America, the only thing that needs to be done is have certain discriminations outlawed federally. -I don't believe sexuality should be something to take pride in, nor be ashamed of, it's just who you like.

I don't hate them but I find them disgusting.
-
I don’t hate them, they’re great! If they’re gay, they don’t reproduce, meaning I don’t have to kill as many to keep the population perfectly balanced

1 ReplyNo one is born prejudiced, bigoted, racist or homophobic. Children in kindergarten play with each other utterly oblivious of the differences between them. It is only later as they grow up that they acquire their hand-me-down hate - primarily from their parents but also from their older siblings, friends and peer groups. This makes it very difficult for these prejudices to die out and can take generations for changes to occur - not helped by the relentless hatemongering of most organised religions.

11 RepliesI have nothing wrong with homosexuals. Sure, it's a sin, but so is lying, lust, and greed. Everyone has committed these 3 at least once, so we're all sinners by default. "Love the sinner, hate the sin." You can't spread the love of God through hate. The LGBT+ movement is despised because of its obsession with tying identity to sexuality. The first thing most LGBT people say when you talk to them is "I'm bi," "I'm non-binary," or "I'm pansexual" (whatever that means...). The truth is, most people don't care what you're into, and they will treat you differently with this added information. That's like saying "I think furries are hot" and expecting people to treat you normally. Your identity to everyone else is now 'FURRY,' everything else hardly matters anymore. Rant over.

1 ReplyBecause it's gay. :^)

Because I was sexually abuse as a child

It is a strange thing that lots of different cultures over time have shared. I mean it probably stems mostly from religion condemning it because it’s not possible to procreate. AIDS didn’t help Today I think push back is from 1) religious people 2) people that just push against anything mainstream/they fightthe social pressure to accept it just to fight it. 3) gay stereotypes are annoying people

1 Replyi don't know anyone who hates gay people

4 RepliesEdited by BADMAGIK: 11/14/2018 3:12:26 AMI don't hate gay people, but I do dislike the mentality a lot of them have. A lot of them constantly try to force acceptance down everyone's throats on a daily basis. Why? Reality, no one -blam!-ing cares. The gay community needs to understand the difference between acceptance vs tolerance. Also, what if there was a straight pride parade?
-
1 Replyit’s gay
-
I treat everyone the same unless proven a reason not to
-
I think the ones that scream the loudest often do so to deflect attention. It's 2018, however, and personally I give 0 fcks about ignorant ppl who spend their time hating others.

1 ReplyEdited by diakopoi: 11/14/2018 11:42:11 AMI don’t necessarily hate them, I get annoyed at them (like I do anybody else) when they get incredibly flaunty and obsessed at the fact that they’re gay. Also, why come out to your parents under 18? Not like your gonna be having a shit ton of sex your parents know about... oh yeah, also most people don’t really understand what the word gender/sexuality actually means, same with LGBTQ. I’m guessing I don’t. And also, the whole amount of genders thing is ducking annoying. Edit 1: also, what if people had national straight days? Or straight pride parades? Everybody would be mad. And you see plenty of things from buzzfeed (and other shitty news channels) saying “some horrible things that all straight people do!” With one being “drinking milk”. And yes, I got that from a buzzfeed article btw. No joke.

2 RepliesEdited by ERR-REDACTED: 11/13/2018 8:27:38 PMAs I gay person, I hate the overly gay people. The ones who shove their sexuality in your face and rub it around, expecting to be worshipped. There's honestly no need for it. It's 2018, no one thinks you're special because you're gay. And all the hate towards Christians is unnecessary. If we ask them to respect us and our beliefs, shouldn't we do the same thing?
Unless that Christian is being an asshole. Then, give them no respect.
-
1 ReplyAll things considered, the fantasy world of people who say "I don't hate gay people, I just hate overly gay people" sounds far more delightful than reality
-
In the words of the Grinch "All the noise, noise, noise" I have nothing against gays themselves, but mother of God are there some loud ones.
-
No one I know hates gays. They don’t like homosexuality, but they still treat the person with all the respect due to a decent human being. This is not uncommon.
-
Edited by Space2001_: 11/14/2018 4:57:58 AMI don’t give a shit if you’re gay. You like who you like. Just don’t rub the fact in my face
-
1 Replygay buttsecks is gross, send them to zee camps
-
I don't mind 'em but when they try and push it too much or still effing flirt with me even though I explicitly told them I am not on the same team, then it annoys me a little.
-
date who ever you damn well please just don't make a scene of it... unless u doin like a wedding proposal or something
-
Because they hate the fact they have these feelings themselves so they demonise those who are gay. Simple psychology. Ever seen some anti gay rallies with the overly religious people saying how evil is it? Ever notice how clearly gay they are? It’s quite funny really.

5 RepliesVery rarely have I met one that wasn’t constantly begging for attention and flaunting their sexuality upon everyone in the room. Honestly I don’t give the slightest shit just don’t be obnoxious 24/7 or overly sensitive.

Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 1:26-27 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
That’s why. Thousands of years of cultural and religious indoctrination. People grow up being taught by their culture and their church to believe homosexuality is something disgusting, depraved and sinful. So no matter how much you try to educate people and talk sense to them they still won’t see reason. The mental hold that a 2000 year old book maintains over our culture is very difficult to overcome. Hopefully in time as society becomes more secular this Bronze Age thinking will die out.
