Disturbing facts about Sanfrancisco, the most famous liberal stronghold in America.
1) they give out free drug needles for people to leave everywhere.
2) taking a dump on a public sidewalk is legal. (I mean it's not like the cops do anything about it)
3) you can make way more than 100,000 dollars a year and still not be able to afford a home.
4) plastic straws are bant so paper straws individually wrapped in plastic exist.

Removing plastic straws in order to use cups with lids that have sipping holes. Lids with sipping holes use more plastic than a traditional straw and lid combined.

I’m guessing they aren’t shitting in broad daylight in the middle of the sidewalk- they probably are doing it at night or somewhat hidden from eye sight. Unless you have cops out everywhere 24/7 (lots of money) this is kind of hard to stop 3) Has pros and cons to it and idk enough about the cities economy to really talk about it. 4) The ban on plastic straws is primarily political just to make people happy but I think the argument is plastic straws are both somewhat sturdy and light. So they are easily blown/ washed and accidentally end up in the ocean where animals get them stuck in places that harms them. The plastic wrap while still getting blown wouldn’t get stuck in the same way the straw does. The paper straw also would decompose faster and prevent most serious harm. Really it does cut down on wasteful spending and production tho so who really cares?

2 RepliesI've been to S.F. it's a great place. People are nice and friendly, and the city is extremely diverse (which I'm sure is something that may not endear it to some). It has lots of great food from all over the world. Additionally, the city has a wide variety of cultural events and museums. Finally, the weather is almost always perfect. All in all it's a great city. Despite being there roughly 15-20 times, I can honestly say I've never seen anyone deficate in public nor has not having a straw been a problem. Although, tbh I stopped using straws when I was like 10.
