D1 servers are down, spread the word to get this fixed

So just last week I decided to log on to my xbox 360 to play some Destiny. I wanted to complete my Boolean Gemini quest which I was so close to completing when I stopped playing for a little while. I figured I would start playing some D1 since D2 just doesn't cut it for me. I log on all excited and I get ERROR CODE weasel. Now this has happened to me many a few times before so I just turned off my xbox 360 and tried again. Still nothing. Fast forward 1 week about from that date and still nothing has changed. So yesterday I took to the forums to voice my concerns and I was met with a barrage of people also claiming to have the same issue on D1 servers, all of the stating they have no network issues on their side, similar to me. I posted something about my issue and I surprisingly received a response from a Bungie moderator, but I was only to be let down when it was clearly just a bot that sends the same message telling you that it is YOUR issue and you need to fix YOUR network. Now this isn't happening to everyone but it is happening to quite a lot of people. You guys may be shocked to hear this but a lot of people still play D1 on xbox360 and PS3. I played about 1 month ago and was easily able to find a crucible match with varying levels of players. It still has an active community, it is NOT a dead game contrary to popular belief. Back on topic here though is the fact that Bungie doesn't appear to give a cows butt about D1 anymore. I realize it is not the newest game but you'd think that they would still care if a solid group of their community cannot even play their game anymore. They are just losing money here because a new player is not going to be encouraged to buy Destiny 2 when Destiny 1 can't even load past the startup screen. I am taken off guard by how long it has been with Bungie not even recognizing this error code as an issue and doing nothing about it. If anyone has the means to contact Bungie and tell them this, please do. I also don't even want to hear anything about how this is my issue. This is not a network error on my end, this has something to do with the game servers, the last thing I need is more people telling me that I should unplug my xbox or clear the cache, like I haven't already done that 8 times then reinstalled the game to no prevail. Just anybody who would like to take 10 minutes out of their day to email bungie or spread the word that their D1 servers are having ERROR CODE weasel issues would be greatly appreciated.

  • I don’t think Bungie will address any D1 issue, especially since they are trying to sort out so many issues on D2 and working on D3. In fact imo you have more chances to see D1 discontinued than any see fix...! May be try to ask for a refund?

      • A lot of people? Less than 10% of the playerbase was on 360 and PS3 when Rise of Iron came out. That was 2 years ago.

        More issues are on PS3 then xbox 360, but I can't voche the fix will work for all, But for Xbox 360 players especially, [b][u]I encourage you all to utilize wiring for the 360 to 5G internet sources.[/u][/b] This helps raise the connection priority and speed between the Internet, Console, and Game servers. Whether it's connecting it into a new gen phone broadcasting or a computer system. It's sort of as most of you believe, on the support side of things. Bungie and most gamer servers are updating/updated to accommodate the full 2k-4k 60fps systems on new gen console & PC gaming.         • Yes, thats true...D1 is very much alive and getting crucible matches are always easy. I see countless newbies starting the game each time i log in. This damn weasel Code is a NOT our console issue. I've done ALL of what bungie says and still cant get on as of 5 minutes ago today all last week! Had it been an issue with the console, the other games would NOT work and i wouldnt be able to go netflix, youtube etc. I love d1 and this weasel shit is an annoyance. Hope the -blam!-ers at bungie are NOT doinf away with D1 cause D2 aint all that great!

          • The problem is with Bungie's account server, not with any specific client side hardware or Internet connection. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/249589026 We need someone at Bungie to actually have a look at this, but all we get are unhelpful bot responses.

          • It's definitely not network issues, it must be a problem with the servers. We have 3 xbox 360s in this house, 2 of us can log in to any of our D1 characters on any xbox in the house 1 of us is getting weaseled on all of the xboxs, so there's something wrong with her profile specifically.
