Get rid of Heavy ammo every 30 seconds

Why would you put heavy ammo in every 30 secs in Crucible competitive! It obvs that the first team to get it will just defend the area USING the heavy ammo and then one shot kill anyone eles who comes near!! Once or twice in a match is the most it should appear like in Destiny 1! That way people compete for it on thoes random occasions not just grab it and run back to it every few seconds!

  • I think you're referring to a concept which existed a long, long time ago. It was once known as "map control" It's a neat concept where teams have to use teamwork to control an area and gain advantage over the enemy team.

    • Also your post doesnt make sense because only 1 of the 4 people get heavy. Destiny 1 huddling next to heavy box netted everyone with heavy, this is spawned less frequently.

        • Agreed. The heavy ammo economy would be better if they put it back to how it was in D1, where everyone around the box gets the ammo, but it only pops up twice per match. This is another one of those little changes they made between D1 and D2 that just didn't need to happen. Heavy ammo economy was in a really good place from TTK on.

        • They definitely should make heavy come up way less often especially in Comp. Control and Clash games (and the other game modes in general) in Comp comes down to who controls the heavy better. Convergence Control is probably the worst example in Comp because whatever team controls Zone B and the heavy can just spawn camp the other team.

              • I experienced a match earlier today when i was in an actual team, when the match started the enemy couldn't keep up with gun skill, but the heavy was about to spawn, after that all they did was place a bubble or use a banner shield to control heavy and they won. Competitive needs more gun skill, not heavy skill. They should remove heavy ammo from comp or have it spawn once per match/round.

                • Lol. This was a strange thing they did to pvp in 2. First the weaken everything in the play book for the sake of pvp balance and move anything that wasn’t a primary into the heavy slot as an obvious, “those guns weren’t “fair” for pvp fans so we moved them all to the heavy slot to cut down on the whining about shotguns, snipers, fusions and instead are gonna give you “power” ammo every 30 seconds. It’s like, do you not want people to have or do you because you’re sending me mixed messages? In all honesty moving everything the way they did for that year was probably some of the dumbest nonsense Bungie has thrown at us...so far.

                • reading this, makes me really miss Vanilla D1 heavy ammo economy. 1 brick each side gives ammo brick to every player on the team nearby substantial heavy ammo drop from killing someone who had heavy multiple heavy bricks per round beautiful, simply beautiful

                  • Been saying this since I joined forsaken too much heavy spam in PvP, what is this -blam!-ing mayhem. In comp it's crucial to play around heavy and it limits rest of the map, have it spawn once per match in comp. QuickPlay have it spawn 2 times at 2 locations everyone gets ammo and it disappears when you die.

                    Heavy control = coil spam = win Yeah just make heavy only drop once/two times in a game!! They make heavy spawn so fast to give sniper & shotgun ammo before forsaken. now, since sniper & shotgun moved to special, heavy spawn need to be less!!!

                      • Honestly even in Gambit heavy could be tweaked. I propose that the use of heavy during an invasion be disabled for both sides. That way the pvp part of gambit actually becomes a testament of skill rather than heavy spam. Plus this avoids any direct weapon or ammo economy nerfs like what happened to sleeper...
