So I boiled my Kettle, and made a coffee in the time it took to load into the Tower.
Why oh why are the loading times in Destiny 2 so long.
And don't even attempt to open your menu if enemy's are within 500 yards, they'll be at you and you'll be dead before you're in and out of your sloth like menu, why haven't they given us a radial wheel menu, even Fallout 76 menu loads faster, and that's bigger.

I have a physical therapy routine that takes about 20 mins and i started it after i was beginning to load into the tower, came back still loading. Its not my internet because my ping on R6S is a constant 9 and around 58-59 fps. And i have great connections on larger games like battlefield series

I’d say it’s an issue that’s been around since launch, and has progressively worsened with each new update/patch, and they are now just addressing it now since it’s affecting the majority of the player base since Forsaken has launched; they’ve been band aiding it since launch but now it needs attention and knowing Bungie they might still bandaid it but who knows they might actually fix it.

1 ReplyI've actually FORGOTTEN that I was playing the game because I was in the loading screen for so long. Super pumped to play crucible, go do something else while I wait to load, forget that I'm playing Destiny then the match starts and I quit because I've lost interest

16 RepliesEdited by Kell of Kellogs: 11/10/2018 1:14:17 AMEh that’s the problem with the new consoles, they aren’t that new any more. I’d look at picking up an SSD. Since moving Destiny 2 to a new Samsung T5, I can open my inventory or Pursuits in under two seconds, or fly to the tower in under 10.

Swbf2 on the console with the least players (xbox) can still populate a 40 player lobby faster than D2 can matchmake a 6v6. But damn it's good in 4k 60 FPS on a QLED 💙

I like the new content, but the reload times may be the one reason I stop playing. 3 games of crucible can take an hour because kid times, etc.
