Buff Wings of Sacred Dawn please

The Wings of Sacred Dawn is by far the best looking Warlock exotic to me and I have it on a lot, but I just hate when I go into a raid, nightfall, or comp crucible and know I'll be seen as insane for using it. It is a fun exotic and a good looking one, but that's it. It's missing one of the core 3 things an exotic needs. If you didn't know the perk is you are held in the air while aiming your weapon and using dawnblade, but that's it. When you aim it you're a sitting duck, making it practically unusable in crucible. I'm not saying buff it through the roof and make it make you invincible while the perk is active. The biggest thing I'd like to see is having it grant damage resistance or extra damage. Let me know what you guys think or what else you would make the perk do and hopefully Bungie will buff this sick looking exotic!

  • Hm. Perhaps this? Tome of Dawn - When Dawnblade is equipped, aiming weapons while in midair suspends you there for a short time. Dealing damage extend this effect's duration. Kills while suspended grant an overshield and reloads your weapon from reserves. The overshield would still be in effective if you landed. Essentially any time you deal damage you would remain in the air. If you got a kill while Tome of Dawn is active? Refreshes your overshield.

    • I just made a similar post requesting they add icarus dash to the chest piece and make universal for all warlock subclasses. Warlocks are way too slow in the air to have no additional aerial maneuverability.

    • Personally, I'd like it if the lock only applied to altitude, so you could use it to hover around killing things as you go, instead of just being able to stay in one place and get killed.

      • I was thinking something along the lines of, Aiming weapon while in air removes accuracy penalty. (Does not lock in place) Grants extra icarus dodge charge Or Increased glide distance and glide speed. Icarus dash resets glide. (Chain glides by icarus dashing between activations) I honestly would be happy with either of these changes as i feel like they would improve top tree dawnblade. Depending on how bungie wants the playstyle to go, one way or the other.

      • Damage resistance would be awesome, players using this should also not get penalized with in air accuracy. Even with the icarus perk you still get punished which is ironic considering dawn blade is designed to be used in the air

        • Honestly I'd rather it do something completely different. You can already shoot in the air with top tree dawnblade, and you can move around while shooting in the air. Wings are a terrible exotic because they hold you in one spot and give off a big solar flag saying 'hey come get me!' It'd be cooler if it gave an additional benefit to Icarus dodge and or the dive on bottom tree. Like a faster, further Icarus dodge, and a faster dive, with a slight explosive effect. Something of that nature. Pure damage resistance or damage is just boring imho. I want something that makes the gameplay itself more interesting.
