How strong is Riven compared to other raid bosses, and other Ahamkaras'?
Riven is by far my favorite raid boss so far, mostly because I have always been a sucker for the lore of the dragons of Destiny. How strong do you think she is compared to other Ahamkara? Is she actually weak compared to the Ahamkaras we hunted in the Golden age and after? Or is she considered to be a kind of super soldier to the other Ahamkaras that aren't around anymore? What do you guys think? Or is there any lore that literally tells us?

12 RepliesJudging from other raid bosses, let’s go raid by raid. Vault of Glass: I’m fairly sure that the Vex wouldn’t need to wish for anything. They’re like the smart kid in the back of the room that always get the answers right yet fail in other categories. The Vex wishing also doesn’t make sense. As praydeth put it “The Vex have no drive, no imagination. All they have is the pattern. Everything must fit. It can be made to fit, good! If it can’t, it gets cut away” So it’s likely through the power of the vault the vex would wipe Riven out. If not, she would win. Crotas end: Hard to say really. Crota has slain millions of beings and had grown fat from the tribute he collected. He might win against riven, but considering how dumb Crota was, I doubt he’d win in an intellectual battle. It’s a 50/50. Skolas: Yeah, he’s -blam!-ed. Oryx: Seeing as he and Riven did make a duel, and Oryx technically lost, I’m tempted to say Riven wins. But if Oryx had the sole objective of just killing everything instead of us, he could take Riven entirely (instead of just corrupting her) and make her his bitch. So again, 50/50. Wrath of the Machine: SIVA might be really powerful, but against paracasual powers that the Ahamkara possess, I doubt Nanites will be of any use. Riven wins 100% Calus: ...........nah. He’s -blam!-ed. Argos: Perhaps. Same rules as VOG apply. Val Ca’uor: Riven wins this one. If a Calus bot turned NBA superstar can help topple him, he doesn’t have a Chance against Riven

7 RepliesI would say compared to other Ahamkara’s she’s pretty down there, as she was still very young. Given a few centuries she would have been a very big problem, but in her current state she was easy to defeat. Compared to raid bosses, I wouldn’t say she’s the strongest as she relies heavily on wishes, but like I said if she was a few centuries older then she’d rate a lot higher as her physical and void power would increase immensely, along with the power of darkness yea she would’ve proven a great enemy.

In a fair, physical fight Riven doesn’t stand a chance, but if she were able to manipulate them with wishes and her tricks, she’d win. In fact, she’s one of the reasons why Oryx died.

She's the weakest Boss in the Destiny Universe. All she can do is grant wishes like a Djinn and she wanted to die.

Many ahamkara were killed by small groups of hunters or warlocks (and a surprisingly high number of titans) and it takes a full raid team doing a ton of dps to take him out. In terms of raid bosses, I’d say stronger than Aksis, Calus Bot, Argos, and Ca-uor, but not Oryx, Crota, or Atheon

Riven is the weakest boss we have faced besides skolas. Oryx is a planet buster with his ship. Crota cracked the moon with his sword and kept cracking it every time he swings it. The atheon controlled time self. The templar controlled reality and time lines. Axis control reality thanks to siva. Riven is useless without someone to grant wishes for her.

10 RepliesOryx and Crota could most likely overpower her physically, Atheon and Aksis would also stand a chance against her physically and the Calus robot...yeah, who knows. The edge she has over almost all of them is her persuasion. She tricked Oryx into making a wish through phrasing, she could do that to the others as well. And then she basically has them in the bag. Not sure if Atheon and Aksis are vulnerable to her speak though. Goes to show that grammar is important kids, it makes you win against space dragons. Stay in school!

2 RepliesI think she is the most powerful. Shes was the last one so obviously knows how to survive. Also, it took a fireteam of 6 to beat her. In the lore Ikora and one other guardian (forgot the name) would take out like 20 a day or something lmao unless ikora is a god and basically as strong as the traveler, Im gonna say riven is the strongest

Remember folks, oryx killed Akka, who i would believe to be much (MUCH) more powerful than Riven. Also, Crota’s own sword is the only weapon in existence that can actually hurt him, and i highly doubt Riven’s ability to wield it

6 RepliesCrota- Riven can destroy him Atheon- Only powerful in the vault of glass, so dead Argos- Conversion mind, only has defenses Calus bot- hahaha no Calus himself- maybe, we haven’t actually seen him Aksis- Siva was new to the fallen, they didn’t master it yet Oryx is the only one I believe can defeat riven, at least in his ascendant realm.

My guess would be that Riven is one of the stronger ones. This being because the guardians used to hunt tons of them at a time. Look at Io alone. So many skeletons and all the gear we have made of their bones.

Well in destiny 1 oryx was probably the strongest raid boss. And Riven (from what I heard from the lore guys) let oryx take her for the fun of it, and also tricked him into a wish or something I dunno.
