I kinda just want to see the numbers on this. How many of you actually enjoy playing the crucible, and how many only play to get the engram then never touch it again?
-
2 RepliesOne important answer that you’ve not provided as an option - “I play Crucible only to complete Weapon Quests”.
-
40% of people who took this survey enjoy Crucible? If that holds true for the entire community, thats more than I would have guessed.
-
2 RepliesI used to enjoy the Crucible, but that was before Bungie took out matchmaking, allowing the skilled players to have fun stomping cupcakes, and the weak players to suffer endless humiliation at their hands. And that's why you'll often see me hiding at the back of the map, spamming the hell out of Telesto. I may have to do these matches to get rewards, but Bungie should have learned this about me by now: I might not cheat, but I don't play fair either. You want to bully me into using my primary? I'll use Invective and sticky grenades. You want to bully me into Crucible matches I don't belong in? I'll use any crutch I can get my hands on. Without hesitation, and without apology.

1 ReplyI jump in. Run around in a circle for however long the match is. Shoot if I cross paths with someone. Pop my super if it charges. Collect my engram. GTFO.
-
I play for fun not to bitch and moan.
-
1 ReplyPlayed it for the powerful engram but now that I’m at 600? I’m not touching it.
-
1 ReplyI dislike pvp enough that no words exist in the english language for me to properly describe it, so regardless of the "powerful reward"(shards) I avoid it like the plague.
-
Used to play destiny just for crucible. Now it’s so lame I get my few games in and don’t touch it again unless needed for exotic bounties.
-
1 ReplyYou should add "I play AFK style for engram"
-
Hit Level 600 on all three characters haven't gone back since

15 RepliesI have Luna and am going for Broadsword now (almost done). If it wasn’t for crucible this game would’ve died back in D1. Any one that doesn’t play during the droughts I don’t know what the hell you’re doing but you must be bored af. Pve is clockwork. You can learn the encounters and once you do learn them well it’s predictable and mundane. You can also use any armor or weapons you want and have success. The whole reason I play pve is for the pvp gear. Then when content is dried up its crucible until the next DLC.

3 RepliesI play PvP regardless of the engram, and always will. Sure, there are times when it is frustrating to play, but I mostly have fun. I play solo during the week, and duo on the weekend if I play. However, it is getting incredibly boring. 90% of my deaths over the last few weeks have been one shot weapons, power weapons, and supers. Barely any primary game at all these days, and that to me is just plain boring.

1 ReplyI play for fun sometimes
it’s usually not fun
1 Reply10 Valor Resets this season so yeah I guess you could say I enjoy it. I mainly played PvE in D1 and for the first year of D2. Got around 500 raids Completions under my belt but I’ve switched gears since the Forsaken release. Raiding was fun but it just got too repetitive and way too toxic. Once you’ve beaten a raid few times its just rinse and repeat. Over and Over. Then some jackass always comes in yelling at everyone because they died... lol. Yes I know the crucible can be toxic too. But the difference is the crucible can be unpredictable. Raids aren’t. Hell I haven’t even attempted LW. I’ll get around to it or I won’t. Doesn’t matter to me. I’ve set my goals on for Redrix, Luna and the NF. Got two out the three. Took a break from comp now time is running out on season 4. Gotta give NF a Run. That’s what I love about this game. Different perspectives from different ppl. It doesn’t matter which side you enjoy. Honestly, I enjoy both sides. But I usually turn back to one when I’ve had my fill of the other. Party on Guardians! ✝️

Since I got Luna and broadsword if I can stomach 15 matches a week it’s a miracle. Only play for the daily challenge mostly lol.
-
Outside of Ace of Spades, that was the only time I got into PVP, I don't enjoy it so I generally stay right away from it. Engram or not. Enjoy PVE more.
-
Not fun if you're bad at FPS games I'm sure, but there's enough aim assistance and they made the hit boxes way bigger than they were to the point were if you're somewhat capable you should be able to brake even most every game.

Edited by Scoots: 11/9/2018 8:39:11 AMOf course I play pvp though I’m pretty average pvp takes skill pve is just repetition

5 RepliesUntil this season I was 100% in it for my 5 games and then out. However this season I have embarked on the Redrix grind which has given me a reason to consistently play PvP and I feel gradually get a bit better at it.

For context, to two bottom answers wouldn’t play crucible if they weren’t forced to (or “encouraged” if you struggle to swallow “forced” 🙄)
-
I used to play just for the power engrams. Since I hit 600, I don't bother. Don't enjoy it.
-
Play just the one when it's the daily. It's crap to play, has ruined multiple good weapons, classes and anything else I can think of so won't play it.
-
Just the one game engram, screw playing three!
-
I don't even bother with it unless Mayhem comes along.
-
I only do it on gambit. Hate that mod.
-
I dabble. Mostly in Iron Banner.
